Leave a Review LispPad Go
Get it, you won’t regret it!
R7RS Scheme always with you wherever you go (assuming you take your phone with you everywhere of course 😉)A fully-fledged R7RS Scheme environment: what's not to like?
I mean, really, this is a fantastic thing: a Scheme with a competent editor, plenty of libraries. On an iPad. Oh, and the same environment also on a Mac, and you can share programs trivially.
The future is, in fact, here.An excellent program with a weird UI
I love using this to code on my iPad, despite the somewhat weird UI. As a longtime Lisp programmer, I sometimes trip over the differences between Lisp and Scheme, but overall this is a fantastic app. Some nice-to-haves that would make it even better are a way to make standalone applications (or, on the Mac, command line utilities), and hyperlinking between the code and documentation. Also on the iPad, resizable and tile-able windows for the various tools would be great. But overall, when I’m coding on my iPad, I find myself reaching for this more often than I reach for an SSH connection to my Linux VPS.Show lessSweet
Wish there was a Clojure environment like this on iPad. Never mind… this’ll do for getting my Lisp fix while on the go :)Do you want to do the
Can I come visit yourGreat App
This app is great and easy to use. I’ve been learning SICP with this, it’s so convenient! Thank you developer!Very Good! Thank You!
A really nice little environment that works perfectly out of the box. It has good libraries, a pretty interface. It’s one of the easiest pick up and play Lisp/Scheme apps out there! Just grab a pdf of SICP 🧙♂️ and go have fun with LispPad😆A curious crash
If I open the app and enter the following into the interpreter:
((((((if (null? ()) identity identity))))))
The app crashes.
If I remove some outer parentheses, the interpreter shows an error instead.
Awesome app otherwise.Developer Response
Üsér, thanks a lot for reporting this bug. This issue has been fixed with the 1.3.3 release.I have been waiting for this!
Finally LISP (Scheme) on an iPad with a first class app! Thank you Matthias!
I’m an engineer and this allowed me to create my own Beta Function Synthetic Sample Generator. I am playing around with statistics, retirement, and Engineering Economy. I crashed the environment a few times but that’s ok, it was fun. I was able to recover and press on. I have the code that crashes the system if the developer wants it. The sampler will generate 200 samples fine, but chokes on 1000.
Thanks again!Show lessA great Scheme implementation
This is a beautiful programming environment. The user interface is clean and easy to use. Documentation is clear and extensive. There are scads of libraries available.
