  • Great app. I encourage you to purchase it.

Although it doesn’t work on the YouTube app, I’m more than happy to use YouTube on Safari. It’s so satisfying hearing YouTubers getting interrupted thanking their sponsors and I hope more people use this app, so we can put an end to YouTube sponsorships.
  • How did we come this far without SponsorBlock?

Thank you so much for this tool. Can’t stand all the “today’s episode is sponsored by..”. I already pay for YT premium and this is still extremely useful.
  • Edit: Problem resolved.

    Edit: Problem resolved.

Checked the settings of my YouTube app, browser app, YouTube setting within my browser and couldn’t find any way to turn this on as stated when you pay for the app. Still got sponsor adds in YouTube. Total waste, would not recommend. 🗑🗑🗑

This does not work with the YouTube app, and only works with Safari. You must go to m.youtube.com, then follow the screenshots in the app
  • So disappointing

Upon first installation it worked perfectly but now it just decides to not skip segments. The add on still highlights the segment but for some reason the skip action doesnt occur. If I refresh the page it will work, but thats not the point is it? I want this to work the first time I load up a youtube video and not require me to refresh the page.

Edit: After updating the issue seemed to be fixed but has started occurring again unfortunately. I think it may be linked to system sleep on the macbook. If I regularly shutdown my mac instead of keeping it perpetually running, then the issue does not happen.

Could be related to the new automatic previews on hover that YouTube added. 4.0 should fix this behavior
  • Finally, the holy grail of YouTube watching experience!

I’m so glad that SponsorBlock is now on iOS, and it’s such a godsend for what it does!

A few annoyances/comments to the developer:
    - the settings seem to get “wiped”/reset every now and then, and I have to set it to the values I want again and again.
    - the app is missing features from the desktop plugin, in particular the ability to enable sponsorblock for invidious instances

  • Works Just as Advertised

It’s great to see the developer of one of my favorite desktop browser extensions wasted no time porting it to Safari on iOS. It’s clean, functional, customizable, unobtrusive, and reasonably priced. While there are still some limitations (e.g., only works in default Safari app and not other browsers or WebViews), these are restrictions entirely on Apple’s side. I have little doubt this will be updated as soon as Apple unfurls their belated extension API at whatever glacial pace suits the world’s first $3 trillion company.

  • Works perfectly

It even works in combination with the Vinegar extension to make the ultimate youtube viewing experience possible. Must-have imho
  • Great

Great functionality. Thanks for taking the time to port this.
  • Best extenstion ever

I've been using SponsorBlock on my other devices for a while now & can't imagine watching Youtube without it. Best $$ I've ever spent.
  • it works when it wants to

sometimes it skips, sometimes it doesnt. the green bar on the seeking bar is there but sometimes it just plays like normal. ive noticed toggleing "skipping is enabled" off and back on sometimes fixes it for a couple of videos.
