  • Great app needs a dark mode

I love everything about the app it’s easy to use. I just wish it had a dark mode so that the bright UI doesn’t hurt my eyes sometimes. That’s the only reason I have it a 4 not a 5
  • Amazing!

I’m a bit freaked out with how accurate this app is after taking a picture of my meals. I haven’t seen anything else like it. I love it. It saves time. I get so tired of looking up different foods. This is awesome.

  • Good application

Good application with a good recognizable feature. Don’t like subscription model
  • Easy to use

Intuitive and easy to use for those that get bogged down manually entering foods like other apps.

  • Cannot cancel “free trial”

Downloaded app to try free trial and found it won’t allow me to put in my own recipes, so is useless to me. (For instance it assumes my quiche is same as ones that use lots of butter and cream.) Went to cancel through the app which took me to apple subscriptions. Hit cancel and it keeps coming back on as a valid subscription that will bill me in six days. Cannot get it to show as cancelled. DO NOT DOWNLOAD AND HOPE TO GET AN ACTUAL FREE TRIAL!

Hey! It looks like your subscription was cancelled successfully and you were not charged. If that wasn't the case shoot us an email at help@snapcalorie.com and we'll make it right. As for recipes, you can do a voice note and list the ingredients and save it as a favorite in seconds! Hope this helps.
  • Best all around experience

Since discovering this technology was available, I have sampled three or four other apps to see if they would give me the results I was looking for. In my opinion, this one meets all the requirements I am looking for. Their photo capture caloric estimates are pretty spot on given that I have taken pictures of food created from recipes and gone back to the actual nutritional value and noticed that the numbers were very similar. I’m a fan of the fact that you can snap a picture of the nutritional value or recipe and still get estimates. I also love the fact that it gives you the option to preempt a food name before the AI generates what it thinks it could be, and after the fact it still provides options to correct, what the food might possibly be just in case it wasn’t 100% accurate.

Given that some of us may not necessarily want to snap every single thing throughout the day, the voice note feature is extremely handy as a catch up feature. I can give it a run down of my meals for the day or even in a sitting and it will give me a ballpark of where I am.

There are some apps that give you more sophisticated training and coaching features as they are more designed to assist people who need that additional support with their weight loss, however, I believe that most of us do have some understanding and are just looking for a fast and efficient way to track our food without having to enter every single value. This by far exceeds all those expectations.

  • Very cool app

This technology is amazing. Incredible accuracy as far as knowing the type of food and the calorie amount from a snapped picture. You get the nutrition facts without having to look up the nutrition facts. Very cool.

  • buggy

The meal keeps logging to the last date and time selected. So if I logged dinner for Sunday then try to log breakfast on Monday, my Monday meal gets attached to Sunday dinner. Can’t fix the date of a meal so it’s super annoying.
  • Why change a good thing?

Why have we changed the method of entering daily food? I’ve been using the app for months and successfully entering my food the same way every day, now all of a sudden that is gone and everything is new? This really puts a dent in my daily food tracking.

Hi! Shoot us an email at help@snapcalorie.com and we'd love to understand what you don't like about the new UX. We've heard from many others it's a huge improvement to their flow. Would love to make sure your use-case is represented for future designs.
  • Excellent App with One Missing Feature

I would rate this app five stars if it included a dessert option and using photos from your camera roll to count the calories. Everything else is excellent. I love that I can take a picture and get the calorie count of the food. I will continue using this app as it is the best one I have found, and I am considering upgrading to the premium version after my trial ends.
