WARNING: They auto-renew and don't warn you that they will charge your credit card. I hadn't used the app in months because I didn't find it helpful. I IMMEDIATELY emailed to cancel when I saw the charge and they refused to refund the $199 that they charged me for the upcoming year. I definitely will not be returning to use the app no matter how much they improve it.Show lessDeveloper Response
Apple requires that all subscriptions be done through in-app purchases on iOS. So all renewal notices, cancellation, and refunds are handled by them. If you get charged shortly after a renewal they WILL generally refund it. Learn more here: https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT204084 Unfortunately we have no control over refunds given how Apple sets this up, but we'd be happy to try to make it right any way we can if you contact support. help@nsnapcalorie.comWARNING - shady billing

Really sorry to hear you had a bad experience, ReviewApp888. We use Apple's in-app payment system so you can cancel at anytime with one click through the Subscriptions section on your phone (https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT204084). App publishers unfortunately have no way to issue refunds through in-app payments and you need to contact Apple for this. If you email us at help@snapcalorie.com we'd be happy to see if there is anything we can do to make this right.Unpaid customer review
Photo scanning is only for paid customers. I was not even able to add tomatoes to my food, I was not able to add any food at all. App is laggy, I press the button, nothing happens for two seconds, I am pressing other button - now the first one works. No Australian food in database, barcodes are not recognised.Show lessDidn’t work
So I post a meal that I ate and was waiting back for the results for some “ nutritionist” to get back to get with how many calories are in my meal and it said I would take 15 minutes so I waited before eating my food. After the 15 pass and nothing I just when and ate my food. the ad shows it as if you can get results back in like instant not in 15 minutes and also I didn’t get anything back from this “nutritionist” and I literally waited a whole day and the picture of my meal was then deleted as if I never posted anything. So I deleted my subscription and account. 🤷🏾♀️Show lessDeveloper Response
Hi, thank you so much for your review. Sorry to hear your review took more than 15 minutes to come back. We increased the delay before human review recently since we now have an option for instant results with our new AI model. We may have missed a spot to adjust the language about 15 minutes being the expected delay. We'd love to send you a gift if you try the new model and help us find the lingering text. Just contact us at help@snapcalorie.com to redeem!Bloated
The app is too bloated. I came to build 1 habit first which was tracking my caloric intake with a photo. Unfortunately the UX is bloated, confusing and hostile towards building this first habit.
If the UX can be fixed (as simple as making the image upload button 1-click) I would give it another shot. I hope the devs will consider. Thanks for your efforts thus far.Show lessFree trial????
Promises a free trial without access to the photo based estimation of calories without paying money. The subscription services sends very expensive too. I’m out after using this for 60 secondsGreat app fr
but please, add Russian languageDeveloper Response
Thank you! We'll work on adding that for you.Expensive, not what I expected
I took a photo of a waffle with Nutella on it. First, it asked me to describe the food in the photo, which completely defeats the purpose. Then, it didn’t add the food to my log; it said a human being had to look at it to figure out the calories. Again, this defeats the purpose, and explains why this app costs _$30 per month_, which is outrageous.Show lessDeveloper Response
Thank you for the feedback! The description of your food is totally optional! No need to add it. We try to be clear about the human review element, most of our users love it since it's far cheaper than hiring a personal nutritionist. Let us know if there is anything we can do to make it right. help@snapcalorie.com
