  • Amazing game but Chinese font is not correct.

This is an amazing board game. The resources and characters are so abundant that I can play the game all day. BUT it seems the Chinese fonts are not always correctly shown on the panel on almost every platform. Sometimes it shows the traditional Chinese fonts and sometimes it is just a blank box. I guess this problem originates from Unity. I hope you can fix it in later updates.

We're working on fixing this! Thanks so much.
  • Flawless Implementation

This game not only plays smoothly with intuitive manipulation of the components, but I love that its layout is almost exactly like the actual table top game. Some digital implementations of board games lean more towards graphics and visuals; and while those games play well and are aesthetically pleasing, I personally love it when the digital version follows the table top layout. This game is spot on with great layout and controls. Beautiful!

  • Amazing game, convinced me to buy the tabletop version

I love when board games get released on iPad. I have bought as many as I see on here, and 25% of the time it leads to me buying the tabletop. After playing this a few times, buying the board game was a no-brainer. It’s excellent. I actually got Dune Imperium Uprising, since it is the same game but seems to have more features. I will be playing it tonight with family and friends for the first time, and thanks to this app, I am confident I can teach the rules and gameplay to them in no time!

  • Barely scratching the surface

Finally got my first win on EASY and I feel like I have so much more to learn.

This game is fascinatingly complex and well-balanced and after every game I’m thinking about things that I probably should have done differently. I’m watching strategy videos on YT and figuring out how to be more efficient with my agents and reveal phase. Just an amazing strategy game and I’m so appreciative to have it digitally because the board game would likely take too long to play for my instant-gratification family. :)

  • This game. WOW.

I'm a magic the gathering and league of legends player. I'm old and frozen in my ways, I didn't think I'd find a game I'd like, especially a board game, yet here I am, staying up late to play a couple games. I watched the second film four times in the theater and would have given a fifth watch if it didn't leave theaters.

  • Incredibly Confusing, No Help

I’m a lifelong tabletop gamer and the iOS version of Dune: Imperium is impossibly confusing even for me:l. The tutorials are useless and vague and don’t explain what you’re doing or why you’re doing it. There’s no way to access help as the game progresses. The instructions are for the physical game only, and so are of no help at all in trying to navigate this clunky and confounding interface. How the game progresses, what you have to click on and when (and more importantly, why you can’t click on things you should be able to but can’t, or why you can’t find something you should be able to access) are utter mysteries. I love Dune. I loathe this game.

  • Great adaptation of a great game

This is exactly the kind of board game that benefits from a digital adaptation: lots of moving parts, lots of numbers and restrictions to keep track of, all taken care of for you in this game. Plus, a full game can take as little as 20 - 30 minutes, at least against the ai, so even though it can be very “one more turn” addictive it doesn’t steal too much of your time.

Thank you for kind words! Happy gaming!
  • Good overall

The app is good. we did find one bug where the card reverent mother ask opponents to discard two cards. I discarded 1 card. then it said I can’t discard that card and then asked to discard two more cards. I ended up discarding 3 cards with it. It costed me to lose the conflict fight. I couldn’t even redo the choices. I wouldn’t have this problem playing the tabletop game. But i like the fact that the game only takes 1 hour instead of 4 hours with AIs.

  • Great game, multiplayer ruined by long turns

Great game. But multiplayer is ruined by people taking long turns , or just quitting. If this kind of thing frustrates you, stick to single player. This game should not take a hour to play, but many people have AP and can’t decide what to do. Even using a timer, many people will use up most of it. Make decision. Sheesh.

  • They’ve never used an iPad?

There’s no reason to not be able to see the bottom (Reveal section) of the cards without a hold gesture. The 12.9” screen is big enough to support that. The related drag gesture was clearly not tested. You can drag-hold to get details, but only for the Imperium Row, or your cards that cannot be used with an agent. Otherwise, the agent dragging effect is triggered.

Hire a developer who knows what an iPad is to fix things, and this will be a 5-star game when the expansions are added. (Has to be 1-star for now because it’s the only way to get this into their ticketing system.)

Thanks for your feedback, Jessy! Playing complex games on small screens is always a challenge, so we appreciate you taking the time to write us. You should be able to see everything a card can do by holding it, but if you think you've encountered a bug please drop us a line so we can help. Support@direwolfdigital.com
