Great!

This app is very great for music composition as a whole, but I do have a complaint as to there isn’t a baritone/euphonium on here. I’ve look and there isn’t one in treble clef or bass, so that’s just a suggestion. Also, I don’t know if it’s me using the app wrong but crescendos and decrescendos both don’t work along with ritardandos and accelerandos. Again it could be just me but these are my only complaints so far. Keep up the good work!

Response from developer

Hello Kayden319, Ritardando and accelerando work under a certain condition (e.g. the beat of the notes across the staff need to match). We will do our best to keep improving Maestro.

It’s okay, but it could be better

I’ve used this app for a little while and I’ve noticed that the brass section is lacking compared to other sections. There are no mellophones or baritones and for the most part, the only options besides a brass section and synthetic brass are a trombone, trumpet/muted trumpet, French horn, and tuba. It’s just boring, to say the least. There are so many options for every other instrument besides brass instruments.

Even after only using the app for a small amount of time, there are bugs when playing back the music. I don’t know if it depends on how big of a piece you’re making, but I’ve noticed that certain lines tend to lag.

Key signatures are practically impossible to change back. Maybe that’s just my ignorance of not knowing how to use the app but every time I’ve attempted to change a key signature, either nothing will happen or I won’t be able to change it back.

Besides these few critiques, I do think this app is promising and a very helpful to-go option for musicians. I’ll be using it in the future and hope to see these issues fixed.

Hello Ben, Yes, the key signature can be changed in the middle of the music. Please tap the [HELP] button in the app and see the topic [KEY SIGNATURE]. We hope this helps. We will do our best to keep improving Maestro to write music easy.

Great but it has a bug

This is easily the best music composing app I ever had. This has all the features this needs. It’s hard to find things, but none the less it has everything it needs. The only problem is, is that I cannot save my work. When I clicked save, it only worked once. Hopefully you fix this bug, if you fix it I will start using it again. Thank you for this great app, and I hope you have a great day. Take care.

Response from developer

Hello Maestro, Your progress is saved automatically on the device. If you save your music on the cloud, the current progress overwrites the already saved version (within the same file name). We hope this explains.

I LOVE YOU MAESTRO

From the very first days of my composing to now, Maestro has always been my favourite application. I had it on android, and I love using it even now on Apple. When I first got my iPhone I was livid that there was no Maestro on the App Store. Thank god I can write music here now. Thanks for the memories and all the accessibility, love you Maestro team.

Dotted rhythms?

Are there no dotted rhythms in this program? I got 5 notes into a composition and can’t find a dotted note anywhere. The help page shows it, but how do I get to that? This app is like an Indiana Jones movie….find the hidden items! I’m looking around for the tarantulas to jump out next!

Response from developer

Hello Maestro, Dot can be applied to an existing note on the sheet. Please try step by step as the HELP topic shows. We hope this helps. We will do our best to keep improving Maestro to write music easy.

Amazing app

Super easy to compose ANYTHING! There are so many features and it is such an easy app to use. If your looking for things to compose with, try this first!

Ad support intrusive

‘Free’ is misleading.

Response from developer

Hello jrmc5636, To not have a business model of 'pay to unlock' feature (for example, pay to unlock an instrument or pay to create the next music), we have chosen to place minimum ads. Maestro has no limitations in the features.

Some ideas…

Can you please add some new instruments? It’s be really cool if you added bass drums, bongos, snares, toms, maybe some mario game sounding piano, person whistling, etc. and maybe some more effects like keys falling, beeping, dj pad scratching, etc. It would also be really cool if you added a sampler function and an onscreen keyboard to play it and put in the notes that you play. Just some suggestions. Hope you consider them, and keep up the good work!

I was trying to find an App that I can use to write scores and this is THE ONLY app that I found, that is working perfectly. Simple, well designed and does what it promise to do. Thank you developers 🙏
