Calming game but…

I love this game because there’s so many cute cats and so many activity’s to explore however the ads that the game has pop up all the time and the ads are not interesting nor interactive and don't link with cats and soup at all! Overall a very good game and is most calming and adorable!☺️

I love cats

I downloaded this game because i love cats, and thought i would not find it that great, but its so good! This game is super cute and relaxing and doesnt take much effort or thought, and is fun after a long day. The music, art style, and overall play is great. One of my favourite things about this game is the art style and music. The music is so nice and calming and the sound effects are so cute and a nice touch. The art work is what sold it for me. I love a cute and well designed game, and this art is so cute and i love it. This game is great for cat lovers like me :D

It only has ads when you want a free reward so my kids don't hit me anymore!!…although they are little mad that it takes soo long to earn enough money to build up new facilities.. its okay though only a few bruises hahaha..

CATS AND SOUP‼️

I downloaded cats and soup a few weeks ago and I love it. I haven’t been playing for long and I have already made lots of progress and have got over 8 adorable cats in the game. In cats and soup you can: -feed your cats; -dress your cats; -decorate your cats mini room; -buy amazing furniture; -get items from advents. That’s just a few things you can do in cats and soup. A few of my personal fave things to do is watch my cats relax in the wild flowers; watch the cats bounce on the trampoline; purchase new items; dress my cats in a adorable outfits; feed my cats fish I have got from fishing; and watching my cats make their delicious soup. Before I downloaded this game I hated cats but now I love them so much and would definitely consider getting one in the future. I hope this review has helped you understand how amazing this game is. Great game and would definitely recommend to any cat lover out there. A little message to the people who made this game is: thanks so much for creating this game, would feel lost without playing it everyday!🩷🩷

lovely game! But…

So, this game is just what I needed! So beautiful it is, and quality is fantastic. I’ve just downloaded this game a month ago, although I’ve only been playing it for a few days, I’ve got plenty of cats, and I play it in school when I’m anxious, and it’s does calm me down a little touch. Although this game is amazing and nothing bad to it, there just something that isn’t right. Ads! Ads is the only problem. I would give this a 4 star but it’s still too excellent for 4 stars, I would give this game a 4.5 if I could. But anyways, ads, so you can get great stuff from ads, and they have their own ads! But the ads are just way too long, and sometimes it says that the ads are “too lazy” or “unavailable” but its does that every time I click on the ads…. And bugs! I know this game is quite new but it literally crashes me out the game and sometime even unsaved what I had! But yes, this game will never be bad or horrible, just need a few more updates to change my mind. Good job cats & soup!

Locking half an event behind a paywall?

I’ve loved this game for over a year now, most events apart from one I can think of have been free to play and if you’re willing to grind ads you’re able to unlock everything you want. However, the most recent event is awful. 2 thirds (probably more) is locked behind a paywall or what they call a “royal pass”. Almost the same amount as the monthly pass. Now having just adjusted the amount the even snail appears (the way you get event currency) and making the community happy, I don’t understand why you’ve removed the event snail and asked for more money. I won’t be playing this event due to not being able to progress past a certain point unless I pay up. I really hope this isn’t the way you’ll do events from now on. I also feel like it’s very unfair to the people who have purchased the infinite skip ads option that comes to around £50 after all levels have been purchased. Don’t you get enough money from players already? Seems very unnecessary.

The Cutest Game!

A peaceful, calming and adorable game that’s perfect for kicking back and relaxing. It was recommend to me by a good friend of mine and haven’t regretted it since. I’ve also learned more about cat breeds than ever. The best part is that you can play the whole game and level up without adds! If you want to double or unlock extra rewards you can watch a 30 second add to collect it. A bonus is that the game demos work and there aren’t inappropriate adds. Although there are a few things that would be great to add or need to be fixed.

1. It’s hard to do the free gem opportunities. I’ve spent 10-15 minutes doing a survey or spinning a wheel but it doesn’t let me know that my gems are in my mailbox. It doesn’t show that I did the activity at all.
2. It’s difficult to get furniture coins. Once the furniture shop is unlocked it’s easy to spend the coins since they’ve just piled up. But after that the only way to get them (30 or 100 of them) is every once is a while in the claw machine, and maybe in the calendar gifts.
3. Not getting furniture previews in the store. I love the feature that once your able to afford the piece of furniture in the Cat Tower it’ll give you a preview when clicked on, could that feature also be implemented in the furniture store? Sometimes it’s hard to tell what the wallpaper or flooring looks like and it’s not until you get it and don’t like it, it’s too late.

A warning, despite the cuteness

It’s true. This game and its art are adorable. Clearly, some serious talent and effort went into creating what is, at the core, an idle clicker/gacha based game. However, while I have no issue with devs making money, it’s not a “fair” ask in this game, as others have suggested. The packages are minor costume ads, up to even game mechanic bonuses, and many are very expensive, from 12-15 bucks to start. And there’s a LOT of them. So it would be easy to dump 100 bucks in over a month and not realize it, all out of a desire to connect with digital pets. And that’s assuming you were paying attention.

While I enjoy this as a quick stop, I find the overall cash grab on another level, so be warned. If you have self control and can play for free—go for it. If you struggle with in-game purchases, run fast and furiously away (pun intended…) you have been warned…

Cute game, but heavy on monetisation

For starters, I have spent money to unlock all the ads, and have bought additional items. First of all, spending over £50 to unlock all the ad tiers is atrocious. That’s the price of an AAA game, but you’ll end up caving sue to how incessant the ads are. You either spend most of the time looking at inappropriate ads - which would change the name from ‘Cats and Soup’ to ‘Ads and Soup’, or you fork out a small fortune to enjoy the game.

Moving onto gameplay, it is by nature going to be repetitive, but my goodness… the events are ridiculously grindy. I can imagine many people would be like myself, wanting to buy everything every 20-something days it resets. Well, that involves spending hours every day picking up your phone repeatedly on what used to be every 7, then 3 minutes, again and again, to farm snails. With the recent update, this has changed to 3-2-2-3. So in a 10 minute interval, it’d involve picking up your phone 4 times to grind optimally (to get it out of the way sooner, as no one likes grinding).

Sure, you could opt to ignore these events, but then you miss out on a main free source of items and ‘pets’.

This game design obviously works because even if people quit after buying up the ad tiers, they’ve made their money. It’s a cute game, but I’d recommend avoiding it and using your time elsewhere.
