Shoulda Zagged?
Shoulda played something else. Seriously, the OG version of this map starts with $20, and this new version starts with $16? And then some creeps don’t give you money either? Just watch “Shoulda Zagged.mov” on YT to see how this level is supposed to play. Jeez.
The inconsistency in difficulty continues in all other maps. Some “easy” maps seem impossible to complete without losing lives (Shoulda Zagged), and some “hard” maps are not even a challenge.
Avoid this game if you have fond memories of the original and want to avoid frustration.Show lessMajorSham

Brings back memories. Wish list: Higher resolutions for the newer iPads. Optimized for the M1s. Editable maps to share. Color options and create your own backgrounds. I’ll pay more for that.JW Mac
One of The best tower defense game
One of the best tower defense games. Had stayed out of the AppleStore and came back again. It's really worth it for those who like to defend the towerphgc80
Highly addictive
Great game. Easy to spend half an hour without realizing. Some levels are tricky and takes multiple tries but it’s definitely possible to clear all.

Remake of classic, not quite as good
Although the graphics and sound and basic concept of gameplay are identical to the original, the controls are not quite as fluid, and the strategy is quite lacking. I played the original a decade or more ago, and spent hours learning the tactics of the enemy sprite waves.. this game doesn’t perfect the balance of the tower powers and the enemy sprites. The. Best. STRATEGY. Game. Period.
This game takes analysis and strategy to win — and especially to win without allowing any of the enemy through — which is what I play for: Completing each level without letting any though at all. That’s the real challenge for me.
NOTE TO THE DEVELOPER: THANK YOU SO MUCH for bringing this game back!!! One thing I really miss though is where the number of lives left used to appear in the end point — even after the match was over. I liked to play so every level so that it was a “10” still there at the end. Now the number just disappears. Seems trivial maybe, but could you bring that back? THIS GAME IS SPECTACULAR, OVERALL. BUT PLEASE ADD WAY MORE LEVELS WITHIN THE NEXT MONTH. THE GAMEPLAY IS PHENOMENAL AND AMAZING. BUT I DON’T LIKE HOW THERE’S NO ENDLESS MODE. Way too hard compared to original
This is my first review I’ve ever written on an app, mainly because I just wanna say how hard this game is compared to the original. Don’t get me wrong the OG Geodefense was hard. But this version of the game is so frustratingly difficult I can’t even beat more than 2 levels in the Easy section. Back when I played the OG version years ago I had beaten every level. Developer, you gotta balance the game and either decrease health of enemies, or increase the damage of towers in general because it’s honestly ridiculousShow lessJJ932
