It’s a start.
Update: Was trying to renew car registration and was proceeding until interrupted by a phone call. When I returned to the app to complete the registration what I had started was no longer there. I started a new renewal only to find I must wait 24 hours. Really annoying and amateurish.
Response from developer
Hi again- We understand the 24 hour delay does not offer an ideal user experience. Right now, this logic is in place because of TxDMV's backend system requirements and TxT must follow suit. TxT does provide some messaging at the beginning of the registration renewal process indicating you must complete the renewal in a single session to avoid the delay. The app should also send a push notification indicating that your session is ending soon. However, we fully understand that interruptions happen. We appreciate your ongoing use of TxT and your updated review and feedback. PREVIOUS RESPONSE Thanks for your review and feedback! You should receive an email confirmation for your vehicle registration renewal from TxT. If you don't, please contact the Texas.gov Help Desk - www.texas.gov/help. Once your renewal is reviewed and approved by your local county tax assessor, you can track the status of your sticker in the app from the Services>Recent Orders tab or the Documents>Vehicles tab. Regarding your driver license renewal, the Department of Public Safety determines your eligibility to renew online. If the "renew" option isn't available to you, then you're likely not eligible for online renewal this time and would need to visit a DPS office to renew. If you have questions about your eligibility status, please contact DPS. We hope this info helps!
