My camera will only connect to the phone when the app is open and the phone is on. I was hoping it would work in the background when the phone is asleep so I can get GPS tagging without having to pull my phone out of my bag every time I want to take a picture. I’m disappointed that this doesn’t work that way.

Full Access to Photos

No app needs full access to your phone photos to have their features work. Please remove this.

Nice improvements!

I’m very happy with the new updates.
On thing that is very needed is the possibility to choose WHERE to transfer the photos. As they are often big files, I would be nice to have the possibility to directly choose cloud storage or Dropbox for example, like when you save a file from any other app. Else, it works well now!

App just keeps getting better

From a bare bones (but still pretty good) start, the app just keeps improving. Great work, Fujifilm - good to see the focus on firmware and the app from Fuji.

Love it!

It works well, but I still feel like there is a lot of opportunity for improvement. There are a few little weird things that it still does and I’m not fully convinced. ——-there does not need to be a whole tab for “support.” Just put it in the settings. ——-I don’t think that the auto upload is not working right. ——-the timeline is not really all that compelling and I feel like there is some unnecessary information in there. ——-I wonder if there is a way they can start playing into the “recipe” stuff. The timeline has a weird design flaw where the stuff in the timeline bumps up to the top app bar and touches it. There should be some padding there.

Edit: They actually updated a few things! There is a new “equipment,” tab that is kinda fun. I really wish they’d adjust he top padding of the feed in the “Timeline” The most recent timeline card touches the top bar and there should be some padding in between the card and the top nav. For some reason it just bothers me.

Edit: YES! THEY HAVE UDATED AGAIN! It’s looking and feeling so good. I am loving the improvements they have made to the experience the and design since launch! Almost everything I had previously mentioned has been updated or changed. Amazing.

Bluetooth connection fail

Two updates since I wrote this review and it’s still the same 🙄 The ability to geotag photos is all but redundant as the app will not reconnect to the camera via Bluetooth unless it is open in the foreground and the phone is on. Until this is fixed and the app can reconnect in the background whilst the the phone is locked and in my pocket the app is all but useless. Such a disappointment after such a tedious wait for the app that was supposed to fix the issues that Camremote has.

April 2024 update: Still no change, still doesn’t work. Multiple different phones tried, all up to date. Camera reset. Nothing. It still will not reconnect unless the phone is awake and the app is in the foreground. I am giving up and probably moving to a brand that can do basic things like geo-tagging. Sad but Fuji have had long enough to sort it.

New FUJIFILM App.

Better than previous app and easy to use. I especially like the easy way it is to upload the latest version to your camera. The app is much improved on previous versions and it seems more stable especially for an old 74 year old pensioner like me. For the record I have a Fuji X-T30 mark2 and after owning it for about 2 years just beginning to feel it’s my forever camera.

What has happened

Have had a xt5 and numerous lenses for about one year the app was brilliant but since February it is rubbish constantly dropping out features that I had have gone I understand you may have done a update to get older cameras from camera remote in my opinion all you have achieved is to take everyone back to camera remote which was a bit disappointing that’s why you started x app and I was very satisfied with having used both please please try to rectify these issues very unhappy photographer?🙏😣
