  • Update: Company Is Anti Lgbt

I used to use this app a lot to make cool art for fun but I recently came back to it and checked their official discord rules again. They explicitly ban lgbt topics even if they are sfw. When I asked about it, I was told by a staff member to complain via mod mail but that the rules would never change. When I followed up and informed them how it was discriminatory and harmful, and was essentially the same as banning generating images depicting poc, they deleted my message while leaving up messages in support of their rules. The mod in question also has a discord profile making fun of trans people by using “joke” pronouns.

Unfortunately, I can’t get my subscription refunded since it’s been active for several months, but I’m absolutely disgusted by their actions. I guess I should have seen it coming since they cater to alt right crypto/nft bros but oh well.

  • Amazing App

I love the app, it does an amazing job at what it does and I find the artwork to be aesthetically pleasing!

I do have one complaint though, there are several times the generation will crash due to it being “censored” even when the image doesn’t have anything inappropriate before it crashes. I find it does this particularly with images that focus on faces. The anime filter is especially finicky with this issue. I hope to see this remedied in the future because there are so many images that would have been amazing but end up going unseen because it crashes/censors before completion.

  • Love it but a few tweaks could make it awesome

The app is the best there is but thst said it could be so much better. For one the ability to output 4 images is great but it often fails. Also when you finalize an image from the 4 output setting you can only choose one creation to save. Second I would like to see higher output resolution. Also the aspect ratio should be able to adjust for landscape images. The native image ratio is about a 12x21 print but that is not a standard frame size. How about 16x20 or 18x24?

I’m sure in time the app will get even better. Keep up the great work.

  • Garbage once you get past initial use

Dream is the worst AI synthetic image software I’ve used to date (and Ive used many). It has so many constraints on use that you regularly run into walls when doing human based art. Try getting a realistic image of “Jessica Alba carrying tomatoes” for example… Dream will out-and-out fail to produce any image at all 90% of the time giving you an error instead. The images are very muddled usually, and seem like blobby abstracts most of the time, regardless of what settings are used. Wonder is a vastly superior AI tool, and it will stay my primary tool until Dream gets rid of the heavy handed restrictions, and does a major upgrade to the final results. Try Wonder instead. It will blow your mind. (And no, I don’t know of anyone involved with Wonder in any way… it’s just the best, most forgiving and useful tool I’ve found).

  • Implicit Bias in Algorithm

I really love this app and would rate it 5 stars if it wasn’t for one issue. The prompt algorithm has an implicit bias against prompts about Black people. This is to say that a lot of prompts will not work if I put Black in the name (in an attempt to create art that resembles me) but will work if I replace the word Black with White. Although it may not be intentional, it is unfair and sullies my experience with the app. I hope you guys can fix this so that this app is more inclusive soon!

(After further review it seems as though the developers solution to racist caricatures being made [created by their ai] was to block it from even attempting to create any images that depict people of color. This is a step backwards, and is antithetical to what was originally being complained about. I want to be able to create images with people that look like me without being censored. In short, censorship is not a bandaid solution for having an ai with racist tendencies).

  • Is the menu changing?

I adore WOMBO dream. It occasionally crashes or freezes, but it’s still a fair trade for the amazing images it renders. This has given me out of this world inspiration for the art I’m making to illustrate my children’s books.

However, just today I noticed…in a big way…that several filters are suddenly missing. I’ve been trying to find answers about how this works but have only seen on an App Store….not Apple…that there are now 4 levels of membership??? I signed up for the paid version about 2 months ago, and don’t remember if there was something above the premium at that time.

Does anyone have answers for this? I’m glad to see new filters on here…but I’m rendering for specific projects and want my pieces to calibrate in the same style…start to finish. I’m here in the App Store and still not seeing any options for a larger or complete catalog of filters. Please help!

  • Amazing app! Needs some upgrades though

I purchased the premium version within a couple hours of using the app. Love everything about it! It’s addicting! I wish there was an option to download HIGH QUALITY ORIGINAL IMAGES either as a package included with premium, or a small fee per image. I would be happy to pay a few bucks per image. Can’t do much with a low quality image. I’d like to make some my laptop wallpaper but the quality isn’t good when blown up larger. Also, when you save an image you like to your in-app gallery, for some reason it resets your parameter results. Sometimes I save an image because I like the variation, but I want to generate more versions but I have to start from scratch each time I save to gallery which isn’t ideal. Overall, great app. Again, to the developers: I would be more than happy to pay for 4k original images of my AI generated art. Thank you!

  • Fun creative app!

Been having loads of fun with this, once you learn how it works you can come up with some amazing results. Glad to see they are working on higher resolution image output, but I have 2 other suggestions/requests:
    1. The ability to change the orientation from Portrait to Landscape mode. I prefer a wide canvas to a tall one.
    2. When creating an image using some of the filters you get to see 4 possibly outcomes being drafted but no way to influence or select which if the 4 will be competed, which has led to quite a few disappointing results. It would be nice if we could choose which of the 4 to complete.

Otherwise it’s a fabulously fun app, highly recommended!

  • suspicious

i left a pretty positive review about the app but i noted how the ai reflects biases against marginalized communities. i noted SEVERAL times in my original review that this was not the fault of the developers, but rather the biases in the media it was being given. i ended the review with (paraphrasing) “this is not the fault of the developers, however it’s still good to be aware of these issues. they can easily be fixed by diversifying the media it’s given and i look forward to seeing how the ai improves in the future.”
not only does the ai still have these issues, they DELETED my original review. i previously had no problem paying $5 a month for all of the features the app offered, it’s reasonably priced and the app still works fine without it. im cancelling my subscription as of today. i don’t feel comfortable giving money to a studio that willingly ignores prejudice against my community and then tries to cover up people complaining about it. before downloading this app ask yourself if you want to support this company monetarily

  • It was only a matter of time [UPDATE BELOW]

So much fun a few months ago. Waiting to see what would be created. It sparked my imagination. Others have said it. Art is generated very quickly, unlike before but that is the single only improvement. The ads are tacky and loud and are generated about every 2nd or 3rd time, making it mostly unusable now. Nice while it lasted. Glad there’s DeepDreamGenerator and MidJourney (which are much better and worth paying for.)

    UPDATE 8/7
I tried this again to show a friend and it took more than 2 or 3 dreams for an ad to show up which was very nice and allowed me a chance to check out a couple of the new free filters. Okay - my results were so excellent I want to try Premium but only the year button was lit up, I couldn’t get through to purchase just one month. I deleted the app and will reinstall to try again. I hope they’re not trying to coerce me into buying a year which I simply can’t afford right now and won’t do. We’ll see.

You can purchase a monthly subscription by clicking on the button that says "$6.49/month." The button is not lit up but you can still click on it!
