  • Unit worked fine last summer (2023)

EDIT: hitting the RESET button on the unit (by the power outlet) seems to have fixed at least the app reading the inaccurate room temperature!! Posting this at the top so hopefully others see it first.

But now it’s completely different. (I mostly use the app to turn things off and on, or change temps, I don’t do any automations.) The app always says the room temp is 73, and I can tell you it’s definitely not. It’s said that for a couple weeks and doesn’t change. The unit itself takes awhile to cool down the room, and sometimes runs for a long time (over an hour). Sometimes I eventually set the temperature higher just so it’ll turn off. Moving the temperature sensor definitely helped, but that shouldn’t need to be done. I’ve found that I run the unit even when I’m not home, so it doesn’t have to work as hard when I come home from work. Again, everything was fine last year. I genuinely don’t know what happened, but in reading other’s reviews, it sounds like I’m not the only one experiencing stuff like this. It sounds like deleting/reinstalling the app won’t fix anything, which is disappointing. The only reason I’m giving this app two stars is because of the excellent customer service. They’ve helped me fix the temperature sensor and sent me photos of how to move it, as well as other issues. They’re responsive and kind.

  • 99% Consistent

I love being able to control my unit through the app whether I am home or not.

I also appreciate being able to see power consumption, which encourages me to be a little more efficient with my usage and save some $.

I had one bug where my unit duplicated itself in the app and would no longer accept control commands from the app, but deleting it and starting fresh solved that and I haven’t experienced the issue again.

  • App bugs out, can’t control airflow direction

I didn’t have an issue not being able to control the airflow direction until I needed to put the unit in a corner, recessed window. Now I have a very cold wall and window frame, and an insane electric bill.

The app is worthless. It doesn’t relay accurate room temperature- stuck for two summers on 80, regardless of resets/reinstalls. So, I can’t monitor and control remotely. May as well have a cheaper non-WiFi unit if I just have to leave it on at all times anyway (for pets). Or should have bought a wifi unit from a more established company with R&D investment to make it work.

  • Automations Don't Work

Sure, it's better looking than most window units, but I bought this for the app and scheduling capabilities. It's completely useless in that regard. Automations almost never work and turn the unit on, and on the rare occasion they do turn it on the settings have never once worked. It turns on at the lowest fan speed and eco mode. It's the same when I turn it on from the app. It shows fan on high and cool mode in the app but the unit is in low and eco. I have to switch each to a different setting and back to my desired setting for it to work.

Absolute failure as a product unless they update their tech quickly. I've missed my opportunity to return this as it only recently got warm enough to actually use the automations and discover these fatal flaws.

Edit: The app no longer controls the unit at all so it's gotten worse, but I've also discovered another serious flaw. If you lose power, when it is restored the unit does not power back on. Our older "dumb" one did, and I thought the long beep it made waking me up was annoying. It's far worse to wake up some time later because your bedroom has gotten hot. We don't lose power often, but get the occasional very quick outage during a thunderstorm and it's annoying. Will definitely not be using this AC unit again next year.

  • Unusably buggy App!

As many others have said, this app is so buggy that it is almost worthless. After working properly for three days, the“room temperature“ reading is now stuck at 78° regardless of the actual temperature. Sometimes setting the app to “fan“ actually sets the AC to “cool“, and sometimes the reverse. Sometimes setting the temperature on the app does nothing, and other times it sets the unit to some random temperature that has nothing to do with what I set it to. Using the controls on the AC itself works properly, although the temperature maintained has little to do with the temperature set - one must just adjust it by feel the way one used to do with old “dumb“ ACs.

  • Aps doesn't work

The aps only worked few weeks than i realized the room temp didn't change for days and the aps keeps saying the AC is offline but it was on. I tried to delete the device on the aps and re-added still didn't work. I even deleted the aps and re-installed still didn't work. I only had this AC for a month, I want to return it but there's no way I can carry it back downstairs and back to the store. This is just bad purchased.

  • Not worth it

We bought a windmill unit last summer to replace our old bedroom AC unit. The app barely works— I’ve had to unpair and repair the unit multiple times. The automations are a joke and they do not consistently work, which is the whole point of having a smart AC. The temperature probe doesn’t sense very well, so the unit either continues to cool well past the set point when on auto, or doesn’t get cold enough. I cannot drive home how much I regret buying this device.

  • Garbage app

The AC unit itself works fine. But this app is terrible. The automations either never work at all, or if they do decide to work, all it does is turn the unit on low, it won’t set it to high like my automation is configured. I reached out to support and showed them reviews of others on here stating the same issues I mentioned, they said someone would investigate and reach out to me. Of course no one ever did. Just like every big business, they will smile to your face, pretend to be nice and say what you want to hear to shut you up. They don’t actually care about you or their product. They just want your money and for you to never complain about its faults.

  • Started of great but now rather hard to use!

I love the idea of this because it allows you to remotely control the temperature of your apartment (so you pets don’t overheat when it’s 90+ degrees out). However it will not let me set a temp higher than 60 degrees!! Even when adjusting up it ends up going back to 60. They really need to work out the problems here! The automation settings are useless if the set temp can’t be managed.

  • No Scheduling or Remember Settings

This app is okay if all you want is to be able to turn it on when you are on your way home. These AC units are very expensive, and you’d think the company would make the app capable of scheduling, but alas NO. It is also incredibly frustrating that the app doesn’t remember the settings when you turn the AC off and then On again. It always reverts to the low “ECO” setting, which doesn’t adequately cool.
