  • Stopped working after one month

The app stopped working after one month for both units (a small and medium sized unit). The room temperature was stuck on 69 degrees, regardless if the unit was on or off. Now for one of the devices the room temperature is displaying as 0. Even worse, the app does not sync well with the units at all. I thought the unit was on cooling mode, as that is what I had selected, but it turns out the unit itself was on eco / power saving mode. I love the concept of being able to control the air conditioner from an app but this one is unreliable or just broken.

  • Unreliable app

Either the temperature sensor on the units are placed very badly or they are not calibrated properly but the reading is completely unreliable (on both the app and the unit). Since last update, it gives me an internal reading temp of 0°F for both of my units, completely useless.
Moreover, the status (on/off) is not synchronized properly on the app and shows the wrong information (off instead of on and on instead of off) 50% of the time. Amazing.

  • Windmill Air Conditioner

What a dream! Works great! Super easy to install. And so beautiful to look at. Great design and function who could want more!!
  • Synching Issues

App rarely syncs with actual status of AC. Whenever you open the app, it will display the AC as if it’s on, even if it isn’t. The fan speed and mode display in the app always reverts to a default setting, even if your actual AC is oppressing on different settings. And the power and energy meter seized working after a couple weeks of use, now it always displays 0w even if the AC is on.

  • Does not maintain temperature

Setting the thermostat to 70, you’d expect the app to cool the room down to 70 and stay there. Not so. Instead, it continues to run and my baby monitor and windmill app both said the room with my 8mo daughter was 61 degrees.
We’ve had this problem every time we use it and it’s ridiculous such a fancy app/AC can’t do something as simple as hold temperature, forcing us to turn it on/off a dozen times per day.

  • Temperature always wrong

The temps are inconsistent with reality. The actual room temp is about 8 degrees higher than it says while also 4 degrees colder than the temperature setting. I shouldn’t have to do math to use an AC.
  • The Best

Probably the quietest ac I have ever heard. Does the job perfectly . Definitely a great recommendation. I’m totally satisfied.
  • Room temperature never changes, no power reading.

Bought two Windmills and about to return them, the glowing reviews must all be paid, because this thing either turns off constantly or shows the wrong temp.
  • What a mess, likely outsourced

I can’t invite anyone to my account. The device doesn’t read the temp correctly, ie it can be off by 10 degrees. Customer support sends the exact same canned response with each question. Automation is buggy
  • Great AC, Basic App

I purchased three units - they’re great and I had no issues connecting to the app. The app is pretty basic and user friendly. I would’ve given it 5 stars if they removed the annoying popup that you have to bypass every time you open the app “Allow Notifications.” I am not interested in notifications - there should be a way to turn that popup off permanently.
