Great way to experience Ogame - still needs work

If you are returning to Ogame like I did, this is a great way to get back into it. It is so much more enjoyable being able to check from my phone rather than needing to log onto a computer. Reading the prior reviews I can tell the developers are actively working on the mobile app to enhance it over time. A lot of the issues I see from other reviews seem to be resolved as of my download of the app. That being said, there is still a ways to go. There are frequent crashes or the game saying “you are offline” and requiring you to reboot the game.

New functionality would be great, like a built-in battle simulator. You still need to go to SpeedSim to calculate your battles, just like in 2007.

All of this being said, I am having a blast with Ogame and look forward to the continued work from the devs.

Hi! The good news is that we are introducing a built-in simulator. The bad news is that the crashes are not normal in these devices. We need a bit more information regarding that. Can you give us your GIID? Click in "Skip and Play", on the same page where you do the login. Then click on the 3 bars (top left), copy GIID and paste here or send on our support in https://ogame.support.gameforge.com/

Dissapointing

For a game first released in 2002, I’ve waited many years for a mobile app and this app leaves a lot to be desired.

Could do with the app functioning as intended and not telling me I’m “offline” everyone 2 minutes. Tbh, the app doesn’t really work at all.

It seems that the currently version, instead of fixing the disconnection issues, had the opposite effect. Could you please report the problem through the feedback button and give us an specific date and time when one of those situations happen? Would help us a lot.

Disappointing

I have played this game back when it came out in the early 2000s. If you want to play the game I would suggest a browser instead of this app. App has way to many holes that impact your game play. So the 2 stars are about the application as it currently is. For the game in the condition it is at the moment, I would give it a 1 star. This is the pinnacle of hitting someone with a wallet in space. What a wasted opportunity.

The whole design around monetization is terrible. But I guess that is why with 20 years of being in the business you guys are still a joke.

Can’t win unless you pay

This isn’t a game for those who don’t want to buy thing constantly barely anyone plays and if you don’t keep your ships moving you’ll be wiped out by p2wers too bad the app crashes so much you can’t manage your ships

Is possible to play without spending money, everything depends on your goals. If you want to be top 1, probably you will have to invest but if your goal is to have fun, evolve and catch players, you don't need to invest.

P2w or no lifer otherwise don’t bother

Interesting concept but extremely poorly executed it’ll be fun for a few weeks then you’ll have enough ships for the people that play all the time to target you and then you lose everything so they can harvest your resources

Huge time investment and you have zero chance of doing well

Could be better

I played Ogame 15/20 years ago. This game is great !
This app is changing the all game.
But the app keep login me out constantly it s absolutely frustrating.
If you are not on wifi it’s horrible.
The idea is good but you definitely need to work on all bugs , there is to many.

App is ok. Browser is better

After the most recent patch implemented for the app, debris fields are no longer clickable in app. You can see that they are there but cannot see how much or quickly send ships to them. The trader tab in app has also been broken for a long time. You cannot access the scrapyard for any planet but the Homeworld, cannot access the auctioneer at all or get any of the universe rewards outside of web browser. I play primarily on app so having to log on via my phone browser is difficult and time consuming. Please fix this as I know it’s a great game that I’ve been playing since 2002. I was hoping that there would be a points barrier between the truly massive players that are 300 million points ahead of myself but once you get past that newbie cap, those Goliath's can very easily bully you just because they can.

Make no mistake, it’s free to play but pay to win. Even the rank one in my universe gets banned for bullying or bashing but only for a day or 2 after several instances of rule breaking. My universe is almost barren because the rank one throws thousands of dollars into the game then bully’s other players into quitting or V mode. I understand the game very well now but if one player can break a server….why am I playing?

Does Not Login

Does not login to any server no matter the connection (two WiFi and phone data tested), other applications including web browsers work fine with data connection.
