Ok App

This is not designed with the user in mind. It is difficult to customize the dates and times and really isn’t intuitive for this. Looks like an engineer designed it as it is copy and paste. Needs some tweaking.

Not Energy Star Listed

Why no energy star rating?
Why can’t I adjust the schedule without being limited on temperature?
App needs serious improvement! My ecobee was infinitely better and Amana system won’t let me use that… has to be better than this!!

Hi there! Thermostats that communicate with inverter systems are not allowed an Energy Star rating by the EPA, even though the true energy savings are real and well- documented. EPA continues to rate thermostats based on how much system run time they can decrease, and that is the opposite of how inverter systems operate. We continue to negotiate with the EPA to correct this so that thermostats that controls Inverter systems can receive the Energy Star rating. Amana Horror

This is a terrible app. It keeps slugging off either the thermostat is a terrible product or the whole AC system is a terrible product. This is a brand new house and the system has failed me consistently in the installer saying there’s nothing wrong but it keeps going off-line and it sometimes doesn’t cool welland even in the winter sometimes it didn’t heat well it was installed January 2024

WIFI

After posting a review citing a problem with a reconnection issue of the Amana system when ISP interruption, Amana updated the firmware to automatically reconnect after 30 minute. Problem solved. Amana cares about their customers. The system has been tested a couple of times and we couldn’t be happier. We recommend selecting Amana for new installation of you A/C and furnace system. Thank you Amana team!

WIFI

We’ve had a few issues with our WIFI providers since installing our Amana system. That said, each time the internet service was briefly interrupted we have to manually go to select the correct local network and re-enter password to get our system back online. That’s frustrating!

Amana S series

Great system! Rebate up to 2k. We upgraded to this system a few weeks ago. AireServ put it in! They did a fantastic job. Highly recommended.

Needs improvement

The unit works, but would be great to see a summary of how long it’s been running. My nest system for the other zone of the house outpaces Amana in this capacity.

Would also be great to add to HomeKit or Google home. It’s needed.

Geofence feature has a fatal flaw

I have downloaded and installed the Amana Home app to my iPhone and to my wife's as well. But it does not appear that it is possible to set up a separate Amana Home account for my wife with her own email and connect to our thermostat. As a result in order to control the Amana HVAC with her iPhone, she must log in with my credentials.

If I have the geofence feature turned on and I leave the house to run to the store (or worse if I leave on an extended trip) then the geofence detects that I am away and turns the HVAC to AWAY. If my wife remains at home, obviously she needs the HVAC to remain in the At Home setting. This is not a very smart app.

Please fix this app to detect when multiple household members are away and only switch to AWAY when all household members are detected outside of the geofence range.

If I am missing something here, then please update your app’s documentation to state clearly how this situation can be avoided and resolved. I am an app developer myself so I think I know where to look for this kind of thing.
