  • Amazing Sequel But…

I have no complaints of the game whatsoever. It was so good that it brought me back to the first Jetpack Joyride when I was a kid. There’s even more in regards to content! The developers are making new levels and that’s great. If I may make one suggestion until the new content is out. Add an endless mode. It took me about a week of on and off play to beat the entire game (without all upgrades) and now I just find myself running the final stage over and over again to grind for all maxed out gear. What do I do once I fully max out all equipment? I can’t test how far I can truly go with different load outs, etc.

Overall 5/5 Stars! Please keep adding more!!

  • NEEDS an update

Inexplicably for the sequel to one of the most famous “endless” runners of all time … you can beat this game in ONE day. All 50 missions. It’s super fun while it lasts but once you hit level 50 you literally can only replay the last level over and over. Because the factory just farms resources for you at this point you don’t even need to “play” the game anymore to max out all of your equipment. The only other thing to do is play the little arcade modes that take WAY too long to let you replay with slow scoreboards and reset animations. Parts of this game are brilliant and incredibly fun but I just don’t understand how they botched the replayability so badly once you are in the “end game” really hope an update is coming quickly

  • Not much replay value

So they took a classic endless runner and gave it an ending?

The new gameplay and items are fun and a wonderful update to the original, but there’s only a few hours of gameplay here. You’ll finish the game long before you finish any upgrades on the new item system. You can repeat the final level as many times as you want, but even with moderately upgraded weapons/vehicles/power ups it’s a trivial encounter. Didn’t even get through the first week of daily rewards before I had nothing else to do in the game.

Was great fun for the few hours I put in, but there’s nothing to come back to after it’s done.

  • Please add endless mode

You guys have a great game i thank you for for that. I gave you three stars because despite having a wonderful game when you reach the end it’s just over… I have tons of things left to upgrade but there’s not even anything to do once you beat mik(the final boss or level). You should have a mode to replay the story on a harder difficulty for one and for two you need an endless mode and leaderboards to really increase this games value and to really allow this game to shine in its glory. You have a great game with great items and pickups but to really make this an awesome success you gotta add an endless mode( if you don’t know what that is it means you play until you run out of life) I hope this is seen by the developers because this seems like one of the most basic things a game like this needs. Thank you and I hope to see these things added it would be a shame if this game dies out because a lack of replay value.

  • Fun, but extremely limited replayability… so far.

Sure, this is fun, but there’s so much broken or illogical. Why does the Super Magnet badge claim to grab coins… but it doesn’t grab ALL coins?

Why is the Boomerang an “epic” weapon when it’s just dreadfully awful to use?

Why do mobs still drop XP tokens at max level?

Why can you only replay the final stage and no others?

Why does the end of each run or mini game still take an extra moment when counting XP “earned”… even though you’re at level 50?

Why does the “explode 10 missiles” mission not count all missile explosions? If it’s meant to be “shoot down 10 missiles” then it should say that - if I intentionally run into a missile… I’ve exploded it and it should count. It doesn’t.

Why are some of the mini arcade games crazy difficult and some are pretty easy to hit 100k points on? You would have to be almost pixel-perfect to hit 100k on the Gravity Suit mini game… and the taco game is just terrible with that awful cannon.

Why do you end up with a glut of blueprints and gems at max level but coins are stupid hard to grind?

The game needs a lot tuning and re-balancing.

That being said, it IS enjoyable.

  • More please!

It's too short, I maxed out everything playing just a bit here and there over a few days... really enjoyed the game though, just wish there was more for me to do!!!
  • Fun but the endgame needs tweaking

Mostly a fun game. However, once you beat the last boss and max out your level, there’s not much to do beyond grinding out more levels for power ups. That alone wouldn’t be terrible, but there’s no level select so you are stuck replaying the same level and boss. It would be nice if you could select a level to replay or if there was a boss rush or something like that.

Edited to add that there’s also an endgame issue with the missions. Currently one of my missions is to upgrade my jetpack. However, I already have maxed it out so I’m stuck with the only two active missions.

  • Great but short game

Some great improvements over the original but can be finished in a day or two of medium play, very strange for such a high profile and anticipated sequel.

Also seems to choke here and there on a 2 year old iPad Air (4th gen).

Great game with awesome potential, hoping they release a ton of content and a proper infinity mode to keep us coming back.

  • I wish that Apple would knock it off

Apple should stop green-lighting games that have IAP busywork elements. No one is willing to pay for an Apple Arcade subscription just to play a game that has the same exact “free to play” IAP elements that many terrible games have on the regular Apple Store. Wasn’t Apple Arcade birthed from the idea that people should be able to actually enjoy games that are ad-free and IAP free? I’ve spent upwards of $30 dollars on a game that a development team put many hours and work in, a development team that doesn’t care about ads or greed or IAP. It’s about time for an App Store and Apple Arcade deep cleaning, otherwise the store will have a lot of junk scattered about similar to a hoarder’s home. The original Jetpack Joyride from many years ago was a blast. This newer version “ain’t it”.

  • Micro transactions ruin gameplay

Ok so here’s the rub. First Im playing on Apple Arcade so no micro transactions. So purple gems were given to be like candy which I believe in the non Apple Arcade version they are pushed at the user buy. So at first I choose to not upgrade my pack/health/power and just looked to see how far I could go. Without failure the game would always throw at me a insane amount of enemies always about 10% distance before the end of a level… but as soon as I upgraded with pink crystals those enemy clusters disappeared.. it’s obvious they programmed it for micro transactions because on apple aracde I logged in for 5 days and in that 5 days I’ve beaten the game. Still cool and definitely needs updates to make it a real game and not a fancy pay to win platform hidden with fancy stuff
