  • Wow!

Great improvement on the first game! Great work!!
  • It doesn’t load

This game is great but sometimes the level doesn’t really load sometimes and I have to close and reopen the game but that’s the only flaw, overall it’s a great game
  • Brings back memories!

Love the game! I like how you can upgrade your Jetpack now.

Edit: After spending some time with the game and getting to Sector 8, I’ll give a better review in the hopes of seeing some improvements of the game.

First off, there is A LOT more to do in the game than the first one which is a huge plus! I love that there’s lots of things to collect and upgrade, from your Jetpack, Power Ups, Badges etc.

The Sectors do feel about right in terms of how long they take to complete for quick sessions. Though there are times where I feel it’s way too short and I wanted to keep playing (even at full health). Just to see how far I could go. I wish there was an endless mode after clearing a sector or a “Continue” and get x2 Rewards but the difficulty gets cranked up the longer you survive. Would like to play with the different Power Ups more. Maybe even reaching that stage, when hitting a Power up, you get to choose between 2-3 and they are random each time.

An endless mode would be awesome! Now they do have an Arcade mode which is similar to what I was hoping for, but it’s limited to it’s own game mode. Would love an endless mode when completing sectors, your choice to continue or go back to base. That’s not to say Arcade Mode isn’t fun, I’ve had a blast playing it and seeing how far I can survive and playing the different game modes keeps the game fresh and entertaining!

Big Stomper does need a bit of work I feel, jumping and gliding in the air is hit or miss, timing it is difficult, not my favorite garage power up. Galaxy is a BLAST to play! Almost wish it lasted longer Haha! That’s my fav so far.

Looking forward to trying out the rest as I progress!

Here’s hoping the game will receive updates and expansions! You all did a great job on making this sequel of a classic game! 👏😄

  • Finally a game that’s not “plus”

Let me just say that this game is awesome. So many of the games on Apple Arcade are just plus. For me these games are just a copy of the original with one or two added things here in there. This game is different however. Being the second version of Jetpack joyride I knew it had to be good. It is VERY GOOD. This game is not plus, it is taking all the good idea from the original and adding on to they making a totally new game with the same concept. There are so many knew features that it would take me hours to explain them all. You can tell these developers have put in the work to make an awesome game and really has the player in mind.

  • Just misses the mark

As a fan of the original, I was excited for this sequel release. It does have a lot going for it - I like the addition of the sectors, the upgrade systems, and the new combat/weapon system. Unfortunately it took only 1 day to fully complete the game. I now have no incentive to keep playing as it just continuously repeats the last stage. What made the original so great was that you could enjoy it for years, always chasing a longer run. The fact that there is no endless mode is a HUGE FAIL by Halfbrick, I’m honestly more shocked than Barry after tagging a zapper that they didn’t include it. It’s also a bummer that there is really only 1 vehicle to start - I’m not a huge fan of the space ship and gravity suit taking you out of the flow of the game as opposed to just adding a vehicle inside your run.

They need to introduce an endless mode soon, or the replayability will remain almost nonexistent.

  • Good game but short

It’s a good game and improves on the original without being stale, however game is currently extremely short being able to complete all stages and hit max level all with thin 3-4 days of casually playing however I do think it will take a good month to fully upgrade all equipment and 100% it, hopefully updates with come frequently to mitigate the lack of content currently :)

  • The Original was better

Don’t get me wrong, this game isn’t bad by any means. It just doesn’t hold up as well as the original, there’s so many mechanics in the game that the tutorial takes forever to get through and overall it feels like the game overdid it with all the in-game mechanics. For example the new health bar system feels like it makes the game a lot easier than the first one and if you lose any of your health than you usually get it back within the next 20 or so seconds, It removes a lot of the intensity and rush that the first game did so well. They also locked the beloved endless mode until level 10 which isn’t a huge problem if you plan to play this game for a while but it takes about an hour to get to to that threshold. They also removed the slot machine you got to spin with tokens whenever you died and replaced the equipable power up that added a lot of options and gameplay variety from the first game and replaced it with “badges” which isn’t a horrible change but I feel like those were really good additions from the first game that should’ve made its way into this one. I get that they were trying to experiment with the game but they removed so many good features from the first that it doesn’t feel as enjoyable. Aside from that the game looks and feels pretty good but compared to the passion and love the first JPJ had it doesn’t feel the same.

  • Excellent

Great follow up to the original.
  • It’s not the same anymore..

It’s kinda fun, don’t get me wrong, but its just not what I expected Jetpack Joyride 2 to be, I was very excited when I heard this was coming out and I was little bit disappointed when I played it for the first time, I’m about 15 stages in right now and I’m already kind of bored of it :/
  • 5 mins in disappointment

I don’t even really want to play anymore. What made the first one good was that it was really easy to pick up and play and now everything is locked behind upgrades and you can’t even just see how far you get.
I expect this from freemium games but Jesus as an arcade title? No thanks . I’m sure I’ll hear “it gets better “ but honestly I’d rather play the first game some more
