  • The game we all needed

As this was a game from my distant childhood, seeing this once again almost made me cry. Instantly I bought Apple Arcade and got the game, this added new limits to Jetpack joyride that even I never knew I would enjoy so much. Not that very Grindy on the gems side and you find yourself in the arcade too much for you too handle. Also with story that is not that very bad (unlike almost every other mobile game) and a classic side scroller I found myself unable to sleep at night. I would rate 6 stars but the limit is only five

  • Great but need more!

I love it as an update to the first game but as everyone else has already said, we need more. Completed within a week of light play. Clearly there needs to be an endless mode but also now that I’ve completed the game so far, why can’t I select to play any of the levels I have done?! Seems madness that I’m stuck now just with the final level as an option to play (which I can do with my eyes closed now!). I wouldn’t mind carrying on a while to build up weapons etc until the game gets expanded but surely let us access any of the levels we have done.

  • Definite progression from the original

If you’re reading this, you probably loved Jetpack Joyride back in the day as much as I have. This game builds off the original in a lot of great ways. The only downfall to this game is that, unlike it’s predecessor, it definitely has an END. I played this game hardcore for 3 days straight, beat all the levels available and had all my weapons/vehicles/badges maxed out.

    **SPOILERS AHEAD**

Now I’ve been logging in every so often to collect the rewards from the factory regularly and I have so much that I can do absolutely nothing with. If this game so much as added a mode for the endless running we all came to love, it would be perfect and easily 5/5 stars.

  • how it is much better than the

Game is much better than the first version because they’re enemies and you can use guns it makes it a lot better I haven’t finished the game though I have level 2 autism The game is really easy but fun I don’t mind a lot of things going on
  • Initially fun, but quickly runs out of gas

Like many, I played a lot of the original Jetpack Joyride. It was always a great option when you needed to kill a few minutes.

At first I thought the sequel was exactly what I wanted: some new modes, a fun little story mode, new gameplay. But I exhausted all the fun parts of the game in just over a week! Now I’m max level, maxed out garage, maxed out jetpack, and nearly maxed out weapons. All I can do at this point is endlessly replay the last level of story mode or grind out materials in the Arcade (where none of your upgrades are relevant).

If they add more story or (especially) an endless mode, they’d have something. As it is, it’s fun to play with for a week or two but then you might as well uninstall it.

  • No cross save between iOS devices.

Terrible that this game has no cross save between devices. If I can’t have a saved profile between my iPhone and iPad, then it’s garbage to me. Deleting game now! Being on Apple Arcade and not having cross save is a joke.
  • ‘V1’ is very quick to ‘complete’

As plenty of others have said and I’m sure some much faster than me, it’s quick to finish in its current state. Ok so I’ve not got all the skins or maxed out every power up yet, but once the 30 or so levels of story mode are done there’s little else other than grinding other things to a higher level (which will presumably see any later add on levels zoomed through).
Love the game, but needs a bit more longevity.

  • Good but…

Good, an improvement, but why on earth did you keep the unskipable animations for power-ups, factory, etc.

By the time you have seen these 10 times, they are AMAZINGLY IRRITATING.

Please add an option to remove or skip the animations in the character screen (e.g. for power ups, the factory, arcade, etc. - no animation, or let players skip them)

Apologies for the harsh review, but they are annoying enough to make playing not worth it. I have no idea if others feel the same way…

  • Loved the 1st - This is better

A great sequel. Lots of new features. My only complaint is that I’ve smashed the current content and am stuck replaying the last level to grind for (currently) unnecessary upgrades. Whilst you awesome Halfbrick devs make us some new content, could you please give us a ‘random level, get as far as you can’ button please. 🙏 Great game, awesome music - gimme more!

  • A great start to a sequel

This game is pretty dang good, but there are a few things that could be improved.
1.Add an endless mode, this is the mode that should be called arcade, and the existing arcade mode should be renamed something like ‘Experiments’
2.Make power ups not be used on pickup, and instead allows the player to activate them when they choose (this could be a badge ability)
3.Allow the player to change the default orientation of the game. Right now the default way the game faces (with the phone speakers to the left) is the reverse of the normal way that orientation faces.
4.Have the magnet badge pick up coins that are affected by gravity. It doesn’t make any sense that the magnet attracts coins that are floating in air, but not coins that are bouncing around.
