Absolutely fantastic app. Replaced my Accountant
I was skeptical at first. However, the app is very clean, easy to use, and it completely replaced my accountant. Forget about having to do taxes? Absolutely! Highly recommend this for 1099’s and freelancers.
Not worth it
Apparently there’s an approval process upon signing up. I got denied and they gave me some weird excuse about banks. Better off on Found. They’ll give all the tools you need without the extra hassle.
Amazing product with a lot of potential
Been using WorkMade for a few months now, so I’m going to go ahead and write my honest review:
For starters, this is a brilliant, long-overdue idea. For me, the weirdest and most daunting part about going full-time freelance was the accounting side of things. Keeping track of all of my income and expenses sounded like a foreign and tedious chore that I was not thrilled about doing. Thankfully, I discovered WorkMade right as I was transitioning away from my desk job, so now I don’t have to worry about any of that at all. Sweet!
The app itself is very simple to sign up for, and the detailed FAQ answered pretty much all of my questions from the get-go. The UI is clean and beautiful, and easy to use.
Pros:
- In-app invoicing with automatic reminders (ditching PayPal never felt so good)
- Auto-calculates write-offs
- Paying quarterly taxes is stupid easy
- Instant payouts to your personal bank
- Extremely responsive support
Cons:
- Bugs with invoicing ( ex. not sending reminder emails or emails in the first place)
- Can’t get a physical debit card (yet)
- Can’t use on desktop
- Doesn’t work with S-Corps (maybe one day?)
- Some features are rudimentary
^ My main gripe with the cons is that many of the features are still in an infancy stage, since this company is only about a year old. I’ve had a few bugs with invoicing (that, thankfully, were solved right away), but still it’s a little nerve-wracking to be dealing with app hiccups when we’re handling someone’s money/livelihood.
However, I firmly believe that as this company grows and irons out some kinks, that this could be a very powerful freelancing app that rivals some of the bigger (and more expensive) bookkeeping services on the market today.

ITS A FRAUD
I don’t trust this app even for a second, I think it’s honestly strange how one of the first piece of information they want to know is your social security number, and how everyone that has rated this app, they rated it a 5/5 and have the same enthusiasm looks like a bunch of fake bots,

Auto Tax Savings is Great
Awesome app for my side gigs. Having it automatically set aside taxes for me (like my employer does) means no more surprises at the end of the year.
Essential tool for anyone who is self-employed!

i’m a relatively new freelancer, and finances (especially taxes) are the scariest part of the job. workmade makes it SO easy to just ~set it and forget it~
i route all my income into my work made account, use the debit card for all of my biz expenses, and work made does the rest. seriously. it’s that good 😭 they automatically estimate what you owe for quarterly taxes, and then pay it for you.

Workmade has made business banking, invoicing & taxes a breeze! Their customer support is next level & having no fees & lowest transaction rates for invoicing on the market has made this a no brainer!
Takes the guesswork out of freelancing
Taxes are the most confusing part about freelancing. I used to wish someone would just take care of all that admin for me. Workmade has made it easier to handle that part of my business so I have more bandwidth to focus on everything else!
Love it—because I don’t have to spend forever on it
My least favorite part of freelancing is dealing with anything money related—especially taxes. I loooooove WorkMade because using it means I spend very little brain power on my finances and still manage to pay quarterly taxes on time. Seriously, any tool that lets me stop thinking about how to calculate my taxes properly is a tool that I will cling to for my entire life. This is that tool.
Plus, the developers are super responsive and helpful when you have questions or issues. Every freelancer should use this app—it’s a lifesaver
