Sometimes fun, sometimes frustrating
I don’t understand why this game sometimes resets/refreshes and clears the board when you’re in the middle of trying to solve the puzzle. There is no countdown timer, and at times it will stay up without changing for quite a while. I have never timed it, per se but there is quite a bit of inconsistency in how long you might have to solve the each puzzle. I have enjoyed it for a couple of months, but I am looking for a similar but different game, because it’s really annoying to spend time solving a puzzle and then have the whole thing reset, without seeing any kind of countdown timer or anything. Also, FYI, if you are working on a puzzle and close the window, it does not save your progress-It just resets the puzzle.Show lessOaklandcoaster
Awesome App Except for the Paywall
Love the configuration options and gameplay - actually better than the bubble gum Candy Crush pastel world of the Wordle app.
My beef is with the paywall and ridiculous subscription charge. You legit cannot claim you deliver value on this app that warrants that kind of ongoing charge and I would surmise you’ve priced yourself out of a sustained revenue model. I guarantee you won’t be able add any significant improvement that would warrant a subscription model on this either.
Obviously I’m interested in your app enough to post a review, but until you present a more reasonable pricing model, your app will be in the purgatory of unused Apple apps on my device.Show lessrt1lt0n98
Subscription
I just downloaded this game and it won’t let me play. Every time I open the app it brings me to the subscription page but I don’t want to spend any money on a variant of Wordle. Whenever it brings me to the subscription page (which it does every single time I open the app), the “play for free” button does not work. Whenever I click the “play for free” button, it just tells me to confirm that I am paying for the premium version, and I don’t want to. Fix your game.Show lessDurpytoez9898
Can only play one a day before they harass you
My friend at the time suggested I get this app because the Wordle game we all know and love is included in this game (not the actual NYT one, just practice ones). I didn’t expect much from this app, just a place I could play practice word games when I am bored. However, I’m in the app for half a second and it prompts me to buy the pro version. Turns out you can only play 1 word puzzle a day without buying crap from this app. There are so many websites that you can do this for free on, so I’m not sure what the app developers were thinking when they starting charging you for playing these word games. Complete waste of time, and do not buy their pro version or whatever because it’s expensive and you can do this for free on tons of different websites.Show lessabarnard843
Pay to play
I haven’t played this game in two days so I go to play and I immediately get the pop up to pay to play and I assume I can click out but I can’t. So I close the app and try again. Same thing happens. I do the closing app thing and reopening it thing a few times and still nothing. I try again today (4/14) and it’s still there!! I’m not gonna pay to play a free game. I thought it was a bug so I came to the App Store to see if there was an update, there was. I updated it to see if it would go away, but the pop up is still there. This will only get you bad reviews and people will just want to delete your app. Please fix it.Show lessaracely739
Amazing game overall!
I love this game and like to play it with my daughter every morning, and it’s a fun game for both of us. We like it as an alternative to Wordle because it offers new ways to play. The only thing that I wish the game had was more ways to play without paying. It’s a really cheap deal compared to other word games I’ve played, but it would be nice to do more than just 2. Great games but fix it!!
This game is an overall great game! It is so fun to play with family members and friends. For instance, unlike other word games, you can actually change the place to add the word in this game. Continuing, it contains no adds which is amazing because while you are playing, there are no videos to distract you. Now, this is why I game it a 3 star rating. To begin, it only lets you play one round and then if you want to play again, you have to subscribe. This is really annoying because I don’t want to pay 30 bucks per year on some game. Next, there is a second game to play but once you finish, there are no other games to keep on playing. Finally, it’s game is amazing but it needs some changes. Thank you!Show lessfrog ❤️
Game is great
This game is so fun! I love it, but I would really appreciate it if they could maybe not make it a paying game I understand that’s how the game is yk they need money but I just wish it were a more AD based game not a paying game. It’s not that I don’t want to pay it’s that im poor if I could I definitely would it’s an amazing game i feel like it’s worth it I would definitely pay for it if it were more of a pay once and you can play all the time you don’t have to worry about any more payments but it isn’t and it would be a great game if it were. Prices…
I think PuzzWord is a very fun app and I play it every day! It strengthens my mind and teaches me new words I haven’t ever heard of! While the company strives to make PuzzWord the most efficient app it can be, there are some problems… I do not think you should have to pay to play PuzzWord more than once a day. I think since people have worked their hardest to build this app, it should not need me to pay money to play. I think PuzzWord should be open for everyone without needing to pay. Now you can get a free 3-day trial, but that’s besides the point. But PuzzWord is definitely much better quality than many other apps. I love PuzzWord just not it’s prices!Show lessskylar.es
Ruined an Enjoyable Game
Enjoyed playing the game until the “downgrade.” The user interface is awful now, that black background is awful; the circles instead of the squares make no sense; the keyboard is awful; and you can no longer rotate the screen. I’ve emailed my complaints; received a response that these things would be fixed. Why is it that developers always ‘fix’ things that are not broken. I’m using another game now!
Also on one device I get a message to pay a monthly fee; when I exit out of the message, I can’t load a game.Show lessmar1999jo1996
