Constantly crashes
Great game loved the series. But the camera angle can’t be changed which is a shame you can’t click onto you’re bourse to see how it is racing and you need to save every few weeks as it constantly crashes

This is a brilliant horse racing sim. I love it. Breeding and racing your own bred horses is so fun!
Why are yearlings expiring when a game is saved and then returned to?
Hi I really enjoy this game but why are my yearlings expiring at the start of each year once I save a game and then load it back up?
Decent game but has a couple game breaking flaws
This game has two major flaws: 1. The game engine is 2D only. 2. The click and drag horse entry system is slow, fiddly and makes me have to open another screen to see the runners for the race I may want to enter the horse into. The whole system is not as fluid or realistic as showing me a list and me entering the horses like before. We are going for realism here, nobody clicks and drags horses IRL There are lots of improvements but until you sort these two things, back to Starters Orders 7 I go.

At last
FINALLY, a mobile horse racing game for the realism lovers out there who just aren’t interested in arcade style jockey sims. The text is small, but menus aren’t too difficult to read and the interface is much improved over the older mobile SO7.

Keeps Crashing
Have been playing all the Starters Orders games for years on PC and finally got the new one on iPhone. After many new game attempts finally got a decent horse and won a couple group 3 races. Got to the end of the season and the game crashed and took me back to the start of when I was playing. Lost all my 2 hours of progress including all my wins.
This is the latest version also so still more bugs to remove. Quite frustrating!

Fun but flawed
While the UI is a lot easier to use than the previous games (direct from pc imports), there is still a lot of feature that need to be adjusted such as saves not working which can be frustrating. It’s still enjoyable but I wouldn’t play too long session as your progress may be lost! I would adjust my review to 4 or 5 if the bugs were fixed
