Bus in the sky with zero customer support
Living regionally, I have used Bonza a lot. Recent tickets I bought, I put in my email address incorrectly so I didn’t get sent my ticket. My fault, but I contacted Bonza for over two weeks on their App, to no avail. No response. No help provided. No ticket. Secondly, when I wanted to change the dates for a reservation, I couldn’t without changing my partner’s ticket dates too, which I didn’t want to do. So essentially a passenger needs to buy a ticket separately from family members in the event that a ticket needs to be changed, which from time to time does happen. So I’ve wasted a ticket there.
Bonza customer service chat says it is open from 6am AEST. This is not the case. It is never open and running at that time. Long queues means you never catch someone live, so then goes to an email enquiry- the delay is infuriating, as then you get no response and need to start the process over again, which of course, is the same- long queue, no live service operator available.
So all I can say now is that Bonza is merely a bus in the sky. Don’t try to ever change or seek help outside of buying a ticket, as it doesn’t exist!!!

Terribly designed app, airline not much better
This is one of the worst designed apps I have ever used. It logs you out every single time you leave the app, even if you select ‘remember me’ when logging in. No option for autofill email or password either, you have to type it in every time, completely archaic. Overall the app is really glitchy, crashes when making bookings, and just overall not intuitive and poorly designed. So many improvements need to be made to make the app user friendly. I was on the first flight from Port Macquarie to Melbourne which was delayed by over 3 hours with no warning and no compensation provided, no drinks or meals offered on board etc. Pretty poor service considering it was delayed by so long. I am doing the same flight today, and just got a text that it’s delayed by over 2 hours. At least I was notified this time so I don’t have to wait around in the airport, but still, it’s frustrating that it’s now 2/2 flights that are delayed from port Macquarie. The last thing about Bonza that I have found disappointing is the cancellation of Coffs Harbour as one of their routes. Hopefully they bring that back in the future, I think a lot of locals we’re quite disappointed by it.

App lets the team down, but it’s getting better

Back to the app. The latest update is a big improvement. Easily put my boarding passes in my phone’s wallet. Big plus. It still won’t save my login details, which I find annoying AF but other users mileage may vary on that. It hasn’t randomly shut down while I’m using it since the latest update either, which is a huge plus!

Absolutely ridiculous
DONT BOOK!!!
What a joke of an App and airline. Even with your recent update, it’s still a joke. Jumped on to take advantage of a Sale and am now having to pay extra to make all these changes so, it is absolutely not worth it.
Customer service is a joke. Customer support - what support? No number to call and you have to go through an App chat which is so slow! I waited 2 hours last time for a response and because I didn’t sit with my App open waiting for one of the 2 staff to answer my query, they unfortunately had to move on to the next in line of how many hundreds of people. They said sorry at least - how lovely.
You have to go back to the beginning to check the booking details you’ve entered as it doesn’t appear as you go, like every other airlines website. You have to enter all your personal details before getting a price. Who’s idea was that? Fire them. Lack of transparency through and through. They’ve designed the App so it’s easy to make errors so that YOU have to PAY TO MAKE CHANGES over and over again.
Booked flights and didn’t get a confirmation email and when I did, flights were incorrect. I am certain I selected the correct dates because I did it 8 times over 2 hours, due to the App blacking out and throwing me out.
Bonza App and system need a whole revamp and change your logo to reflect your airline. A 👎🏻 will suffice.

App doesn’t work to book flights
I have recently downloaded the app in the last couple of days as you have just added a new flying route from sunny coast to Tassie which is awesome, but after selecting my flights and then choosing the fares the app stops working on the returning fare part after I pick it doesn’t load any further, the app doesn’t progress further for me to do anything for flights and there is no next button to hit, this app is super disappointing. So I guess I will stick with Jetstar at least they have a website that you can use!!!!! Zero stars if I could, if you want people to use the app to book flights you need to make sure the process works properly.

Blank purple screen
Took long time to get in and book. Now everytime I go into sign in or access my trip as soon as I enter details screen goes blank. Contacted help chat - useless. Told me to re-register, Can’t even get through whole form without it going to blank purple screen. Reloaded app on both iPhone 15 and iPad - no joy on either. This will be first and last time I fly Bonza as App only way to access trips.
If the app is that poor - is this a reflection of the airline as a whole?????
Funny that the only page that does not go blank is the bookings page - which makes them their money.

Waiting for flight, but can’t log in to app
I’ve tried a few times now to log in to the app. A family member created an account in my name to book and pay for flights, gave me the password. But it wouldn’t work. So I reset it, but that also didn’t work. Tried again a few days later, didn’t work, reset the password AGAIN and STILL can’t log in.
The flight better be better than this, so far I’m frustrated. What good is a cheap flight if you can’t get on it.

Terrible app for a great airline
Bonza you need to find another app developer. This app clearly has not had full QA and it shows. Constantly having to log in again even though I’ve checked the remember me tick box, in flight ordering is not clear at all - I reverted to the web experience to order something in flight, being told my flight has already departed when it clearly hasn’t. The app customer experience is terrible and you’re selling your brand short with this app. This is a shame because flying with Bonza is actually a great experience and I’m thankful for your regional presence.
I look forward to seeing the app improvements next time I fly with Bonza.

Fly bonza
Was skeptical but curious, flew back from newcastle after booking my flight through their app for $150 two days earlier. After flying with jetstar the day before, and having my flight leave early (missing it in the process) than being made to pay $75 to transfer to the 4pm flight and missing most of the day with my mates, I was feeling a bit raw. Bonza rocked up, on time, calm, in a clean and well presented aircraft. Absolutely packed with other people, as it should be when the pricing’s reasonable and achievable, at short notice, and on a budget. This is going to make me and my mates keen to go explore a bit more of the country each weekend and I’m excited to get going
