The former translations and English writings in general were already in Roman type before 1611. I have a KJV blackletter edition and read it through a few times which I thought was an amazing and fun challenge as a reader. A great experience. This version of the Bible has everything included even the lost books left out of the Canon. I recommend this app to all believers. ### 5/5 — History of the KJV *2026-02-08* The KJV is according original King James Bible that was published in the year 1611. The problem is that the European church had already taken some liberties with Scripture and had made a few changes to reflect what they wanted to say. Two of those changes were made in the Book of Job. At Job chapter 24 verse 1 in today’s King James Version of the Holy Bible it says: “Why, seeing times are not hidden from the Almighty, do they that know him not see his dayes?” A couple of commas were left out that changed the meaning of that passage from those that do not know God to those that do know God.
