Why do developers overcomplicate apps?
I want to be able to look at my phone and see how much longer until my vacation, retirement, etc. I get that there might be people who could use and may even want that optional (intrusive) AI… But at the very least, please offer just a simple basic countdown timer. Thanks

Thank you for the feedback! We added the AI feature to see what peoples reactions would be and we've decided to make this as less of a prominent feature. In the next app update we will be removing it from the main tabs in the app, and then also from the onboarding.

Greedy Pricing

Glad you love the app! And appreciate your feedback on the price. We still do offer a lifetime option which should be visible in the app. Where we have quite a lot of functionality in the app, including the AI assistant, we needed to increase our price slightly as we believe the value is there. We're actively working on the app with multiple updates a week to keep making it better and we're not trying to be greedy but instead be in a place where the app earns enough to keep going. Again really appreciate your time sharing this feedback and hope we'll see you again one day.

Still have optional upgrades for anyone who wants a more premium service using their AI, it looks like a great option.

How did this app self download on my phone ?

Hey there! We recently changed our app icon so I wonder if you may have downloaded the app a while ago and now with the new icon it sticks out? The only way for Outside or any app to be on your phone is to be manually downloaded from the App Store. Hope this helps and if you have any questions feel free to message in.
Not free and is not a widget.

Hey, appreciate the review and feedback. It looks like you've ran into a bug affecting other apps which causes the widgets to not appear, this is something unfortunately out of our control. We've got a support article that shows you how to fix it and it's super quick. Also feel free to message and can walk through. We're still learning how as a team of 2 we can successfully run the app, maintains it's costs whilst giving a lot of value for free. During the 45 day trial you get everything, absolutely every feature available to try and then see if you feel it's worth paying for in the end. We feel like this is fair as we've got to find a business model that works for everyone. We are though always trying to improve it and your feedback helps steer it in the right direction. We hope you see that what we're trying to build with Outside is more than just a countdown app as we've got the most feature rich product and we've got lot's more planned. Again appreciate your honest feedback, and hope we can still keep your support. We're hoping with this 45 day trial it also gives us the option to rollout an entirely free plan but we've got to make a few mistakes to get there to learn. Thanks - Blake

With the features in Outside, we've made sure that what's usually paid for in other apps is free and the other extra features are for Pro. We're consistently adding more functionality to the app and with new features they'll be more than do have a monthly cost so we've tried to make sure the price accounts for this. We're actively working hard on making the app much better than it is today and learning as we go. This feedback really helps and I hope you keep giving us a shot.
