Scam alert
Individuals choose their starting points, and pay for digital credits to contact opponents.
In local tournaments here in the Philippines where VaveLife is the title sponsor participants are asked to download the app and expected to upload results independently. Naturally the whole thing falls apart because nobody downloads the app and adds their matches. No instructions are given, and the app has no manual or points table explaining how the supposed ranking system works. Anyone can boost themselves to the top if they want to.
The core purpose of this app is to extract money from users for merchandise and digital credits, while not fulfilling what it was promoted to do. It resembles a pyramid scheme in the way it is pushed as a rankings product while giving no evidence.
Foul play is suspected, with the app being pushed in Indonesia and the Philippines and nothing to show for it. Money is being made while the sport falls further behind in these regions, and a genuine ranking system is still absent.
Ranking systems require hard work and can not exist within the confines of an app. Don’t buy into the hype, nothing will come of this scam.
