Scam App
For anyone who has ADD this is a scam app. The things it asks you to do are things very difficult for someone who has the disorder. Also they sent me a 50 page document to outline “my plan”. I have add. I haven’t ever been able to concentrate to get through 50 pages!!! Horrible. And when i asked for a refund they ignored me. Just the worst. The creators are scam artists.

App is great ! Support is very helpful
The app has been working great, and at least for me writing everything down and tracking my mood and energy levels has helped me manage my anxiety.
There is a few issues with the app, but the customer support is quick to respond and help with any issues!

Scam adds, this is a symptom tracker and nothing more
I’m pretty resentful that people profit over others health issues with false advertising. I saw and keep seeing adds naming different types of ADHD claiming this app has something to do with that. It has nothing to do with ADHD. It’s a simple symptom tracker, maybe even a good symptom tracker but will offer absolutely no insight about ADHD directly. It doesn’t even have ADHD symptoms listed to choose from.

Generic app and bad support
You’ll find your plan is a generic pdf with tried and true advice like eat more protein. The tracking app is just a clunkier version of other apps. And customer support? They will miss their average response time that they claim is 4 hours by 24 or so hours. And lest you think you get help after that 24 hours, think again. You will need to wait 72 hours for a senior support person. This thing isn’t worth $1 a year, let alone a $1 a day. Don’t be stupid like me. Do not give these people your money for a dumb tracking app and some “personalized” plan that is a summary of basic ADHD advice.

Effecto is basically a tracking system. It does what my watch is already doing for free. It does not provide strategies or techniques for assisting with ADHD. They assured me they offered a money back guarantee, but then repeatedly provided excuses for not actually refunding my purchase. They also offer an onboarding call to maximize your success with the product. After waiting a week and receiving 3 reminders, they failed to call. The customer service is worse than their product.

They advertised finding your “ADHD Type” to then use CBT type therapy to help you with your specific symptoms after taking a quiz and signing up. However, once you complete the sign up process NONE of that is accessible. It literally does not exist. They use false advertising to get people to sign up for a basic habit tracking app.

Canceling subscription is difficult!
Warning! You sign up for a subscription and want to cancel it, you have to “contact customer service “ but they do not give you any options in the settings to easily contact customer service. Most apps allow you to manage your account without having to contact customer service. They do this so that it makes it hard for you to cancel. has great intentions, but they really need to change this.

It’s ok but not what I had hoped
I think application design - the right features and technical implementation and design - is far harder than people realized. That said, I didn’t see anything that was actively helping me manage my executive functioning. It was a lot of ‘wouldn’t it be cool if you had a dashboard to track days when work stressed me out’. That’s not helping me - I want to be productive, not make a dashboard for an app so the company can profit.

Not helpful at all
I purchased this service by mistake when looking at what they had to offer and requested immediate cancellation and refund. It took customer service a couple days to get back to me, and that person canceled but wasn’t authorized to issue the refund but sent it to a senior specialist. The fact that their front line couldn’t issued a refund was already suspicious. So, I had to was 2-3 MORE days for the senior specialist to respond and cancel. By this point, it was several days AFTER my immediate request, which is already ridiculous, but then the senior specialist said they won’t issue the refund!! Unacceptable!! Needless to say, I won’t ever be using this service in the future.

Preying on Nuerodivergents for Profits
This app is a complete scam. They lure you in with a quiz that promises to give you your “type” then make it appear like you’ll get your results when you follow prompts. Those prompts lead you to committing to some sort of subscription, no trial or anything, and not only do you pay for it, you WILL NOT RECEIVE said results from the quiz you took! There is some PDF that is 100% generic white wash and has nothing to do with you specifically. A Google search will provide better information than their PDF! This developer is not an expert at anything more than con artistry. And when you reach out to them directly, as they surely will recommend in response to this review, they may cancel your subscription that you didn’t even realize you fell into but they’ll also deny refunding money, claiming delivery of product which, as stated, was never delivered in the first place. STAY AWAY FROM THIS SCAM!!!!!
