Support is not helpful

The app is okay, but it’s impossible to get a hold of support. I’ve tried 5 times in the the last 3 weeks. After using the app daily to try to gain insights on my symptoms, most insights failed because of insufficient data - which makes sense - the app fails to control for variables making it a poor gauge of determining the causes (or effects) of anything with any level of certainty. After this hopeful and diligent 3 months trying to get something meaningful out of the experience other than another thing on my to-do list, I’ve been unable to login to my account or access my data, with no warning at all that my subscription was about to end or a heads up I needed to continue. I will not resubscribe without hearing back from customer support whether or not my previous data has been lost forever so I continue to be left in the dark. Okay app, terrible experience.

We're terribly sorry to hear that, and apologize for the inconvenience! It could be the case that the emails went to the spam folder. We would be extremely grateful if you sent us an email at hello@effecto.app so we can fix this issue.

DO NOT PURCHASE!!! SCAM APP!!!

This is not an app that helps with ADHD. This is an app that PREYS on people seeking help. This app is not user friendly, they do not tell you how to use it, they do not tell you what any of their features mean, what they’re for, or how to use them.
Then when you try to cancel your subscription a message pops up saying “to manage subscription please contact customer service”….but here is the kicker. THERE IS NO LINK TO CONTACT CUSTOMER SERVICE LOCATED ANYWHERE WITHIN THE APP! Once downloaded it is almost impossible to cancel your subscription and I’ve now heard of many people STILL BEING CHARGED AFTER THEY CANCEL. These people should be thrown in jail and sued into oblivion. They are nothing but THIEVES preying on people who are seeking help.
I will be contacting my lawyer. With the amount of people complaining about blatantly fraudulent charges to their credit cards after they cancelled their subscription tells me a class action lawsuit wouldn’t be difficult to pursue.

Not For ADHD

This app was promoted to me as something that could improve my ADHD but the app is not designed to be ADHD friendly, everything is frustrating to do and the lag for the app was terrible which I can’t understand why because it’s not like the app is running difficult functions. There are no features that this really has besides giving you overall stats of your mood. This app is a glorified journal and a mediocre mood tracker at best. I asked for a refund since this is not what was promoted to me but the effecto team refused since it was not due to technical issues. The best they did was suggest for me to speak to one of their associates on how to better use the app which is insulting; no customer should have to go out of their way to use one app, that whole process is very discouraging for people with ADHD who already have a hard time completing big multi-step tasks.

Crooks

I used this app for exactly 2 days and didn't like anything about it. It's very clunky to use. I quit using the app and canceled my subscription immediately (or so I thought). When I noticed they still charged me another $30 about 2 months later - I contacted customer service to ask for a refund. After FOUR DAYS, they finally said: "Since our main goal is the absolute privacy of our users and their data, we cannot see whether you have deleted your account, stopped using it, or bought a new subscription. All this information is private and only you, the user, can access it.

We issue refunds only if the user has encountered any technical problems that prevent access to the app. However, since this is not the case this time, a refund cannot be issued."

When I tried to manage my subscription through the Effecto app, it said you couldn't do that in the app, you had to go through the Apple Subscription page. There was nothing there. So I was under the impression it had been canceled for months, but they still charged me anyway. They're crooks and will take your money for "subscriptions" for this trash app you didn't know you were still signed up for. 0/10 don't recommend.

Best update yet

App is finally not so buggy so I can use it and edit it like I want. In addition, I like the challenges. I’m curious about how others use the app too. Moms particularly.

Helping me build better routines

I heard about this app on Reddit, and decided to try it out because I’m newly retired and struggling to develop new and healthy routines with my big life change. I wanted to figure out the key drivers of my mood and energy levels and build those healthy actions into my daily routine.

The app is intuitive so I was able to get up and running very quickly, and the controls are responsive (although the “factors” take a second or two to record my input.) I give this 5 stars because: 1) just the act of entering data 1-2 times a day, maybe 2 minutes total, is making me more mindful and conscious of my actions and how they impact my moods; 2) with only 10 days of data I’ve already learned that meditation improved my mood substantially which has strengthened that habit in me; 3) the personal on-boarding call - with a real person! - gave me a chance to ask questions and use the app more effectively; 4) the app is completely customizable (the Reddit poster that got me interested in Effecto tracked their moods against weather conditions!) and 5) Effecto is fun, easy, and visually pleasing to use.

I think Aristotle said something like, “Self-knowledge is the beginning of all wisdom.” Effecto is amazing at helping me learn more about myself and thus improve myself. Anyone interested in learning more about what makes them tick will love this app.

Don’t be fooled

I paid for the $60 version that would start after the 7 day trial. It was advertised to have a certain amount of features and capabilities. I went through the app and saw that maybe it didn’t meet the hype but was willing to give it a try. On the third time I opened the app, it wouldn’t open. Every time since then, same problem. Doesn’t work. I went to to unsubscribe but it was passed the 7th day mark. I patiently waited for some fix or update in the last week or two but same problem. Would not recommend. I would like a refund.

This app helped me reduce panic attacks

Thanks to this app I've managed to figure out what causes my panic attacks, what the triggers them, and now I've started to prevent them. It's going to be a long process, but I'm so glad I've finally figured it out

Helped me with depression

I have been diagnosed with depression at 17 years old, and this app has helped me identify the habits I do that further increase my depression. I’ve started to slowly stop doing those habits, and my depression has started to improve drastically. Thank you!

Wow it's slow, needs more integrations

But it has so much promise. Brand newiphone 14 pro and this app is pitifully slow. Every action take several seconds. That's not worth 60/year. Funny how they target ADHD with such poor responsiveness. It hard enough to focus on recording tasks when its just so Sloooooww. Lastly there needs to be better integration with Apple health. So much more information to pull in that is critical to concept this app is trying to execute on.
