Closing my account Monday
Please don’t bank here. It’s just like any other bank they just threw the black in part to get more customers. I’m on the phone right now trying to figure out why I got sent a deposit on the 9th and must wait til the 14th to receive it. They can’t tell me why but I do know they yell “we don’t hold deposits” trying to be like the other companies and they indeed DO HOLD DEPOSITS. They have held my money 3xs and won’t explain the reasons. I started with them when they launched as I did Chime. The more people that came to chime, made it worse. Greenwood is small & still lies like other banks. All that’s different is they use brown people for the market and that’s even more sad. Cuz y’all selling dreams like other banks. Please release my deposit so I can close out this account and go back to my main bank. I thank God I keep 3-4 bank accounts. I have gave a chance and I’m sorry I did. No extra features just a debit card……don’t waste your information. The reps don’t know much they can NEVER explain why or what’s goin on with my account only read from scripts. Hurry up and give my money so I can leave this company.

Almost everyday I have to go on the actual website to get into my account because I keep getting error messages when trying to sign in. I even deleted and reloaded the app a few times. I’m trying to support but it’s making it really hard to do so
Still missing some features
Having Zelle would be great! Also there are certain features that are still needing improvements such as the the statements option and viewing spending trends or budgeting.

I recommend everyone get the greenwood card. It’s perfect. Plus it’s for the culture

The descriptions and the motivations to invest and bank with a institution that will prioritize Latinos Latinas and black Americans in our communities in the long run is quite perceptive and very is to use in the considerations of transfers and possible mobile wallet cooperation.

Once you get your account setup it functions well. I love the idea of keeping our money in a bank that has a gosl of strengthening our community.
Great App
Greenwood is a great online banking app! It is a new banking app and company so it doesn’t offer much yet but just like any other business as it grows there will be more available.

I finally received the notice that I was released from the waitlist and was able to open my account. I’m super excited to be a part of the Greenwood Community! The app is super slick and functions as expected. Only up from here!!
Overall good app
I’ve had an account for about a month now and am relatively happy with the app. Not having Zelle or a quick pay transfer option is a major set back. It also took 7 business days for a transfer from my primary bank which is a bit long to wait. I’d like to make this my primary bank in the future - particularly if they begin offering loan products (e.g., mortgages, business loans, HELOC, etc.). I’m here for the ride and will give my people time to perfect their services, but hope things will change sooner rather than later.

Work in progress
The app could use some work when it comes to updating. And the biometric login works sometimes and sometimes it doesn’t. Fix this bugs and it will be ok.
