BEWARE

A LOT of the items you buy are/can be broken, damaged, or deactivated electronics that are useless. You have 3 days to schedule your pick up or it is forfeited back to the auction house. The locations are in seedy areas. One positive thing is that the customer service response was fairly quick.

Hello! We hope that the quick customer service response time you're referring to can be a testament that OLA has no desire to deceive our bidders. We do receive a variety of items from a multitude of circumstances, and our staff will describe the condition of an item with one of five notations at all times. At times when the notation itself fails to best describe an item, we are more than happy to help.

Trashed Amazon returns

Pictures are deceiving and descriptions of the condition of items are almost always inaccurate. Pickup is a nightmare. It doesn’t matter if you’ve scheduled a pickup time, be ready to wait about 45 minutes standing in a cold warehouse for your items. Language barrier with 18 year old staff members makes picking up your items difficult also. Lots of other Amazon return auctions to choose from this one ain’t that guy

Haven’t bought anything since the switch. Frustrated every time I get one the new app.

Terrible

Very disappointing that I cannot visit the website. I have been a customer for years and have not made a purchase since you have taken the site down and gone to the app only. It is very hard to review the items this way. Bring the website back!!!

Hello! The new app supports features that the website was unable to. You can search all items, zoom on photos, copy links, search items on google, save items to a watchlist, get notifications for your interests and much more. We hope you can explore these new features and enjoy them soon!

The charge 2$ for any transaction plus 12%

As disclosed when signing up, OLA has an auction premium as a platform charge, an item fee, and the county tax. Please note, county tax varies based on items’ location.

Can’t save filter settings

I love OLA but what annoys me about this app, is that you can’t save your filter settings. I have to literally filter and click to one pickup location each and every time I search something or any time I click an item, I have to constantly click that setting manually, because the other location is an hour away from me. I accidentally bought 2 items from the other location, and now have to try and find a way over there or I risk forfeiting the items and I’m out the money spent. This is extremely annoying and somewhat predatory. It almost seems as if OLA wants you to accidentally buy from another pickup location so that they can get some ones for free if you don’t pickup. Because you have to be blind to not see that issue when using the app.

Also, items need to be broken up into categories such as “cleaning” , “tech” , “tools” etc. this will make searching products so much easier for users and will likely lead to more products being sold for more money. I have noticed that in auctions, there are 3 of the same items. 1 is being sold for significantly higher than the other two, and that’s because people see that item first when scrolling down the item list. If these items were broken up into categories, and people searched by categories, then each of the 3 identical items would be selling for more. People aren’t finding the other items as easily.

Overall the app is promising but needs to be more user friendly.

We do not want our bidders stuck with items that they cannot pickup. We want to sell items to people who want them and have the ability to retrieve them. We understand the frustration you’re voicing, which is why one of the first major updates we implemented was saving filters like you’re requesting. You can now choose a location or delivery preference and set it as your default. Please make sure you’re using the latest version of the app to notice this difference.

Bring back web auctions

App only auctions makes it a lot more difficult to go through items. Please bring back the website

You can search all items, zoom on photos, copy links, search items on google, save items to a watchlist, get notifications for your interests and much more. We have also made many updates based on customer feedback, so please ensure you are using our latest version.

Can’t login. Glitch City

The app won’t allow me to login. When attempting to change my password it provides multiple errors. What a great way to keep users away.

Hello! As stated when downloading the app, as it is an entirely new platform, all users will have to create a new account. You can do so by clicking “sign up” on the profile page. You are welcome to use the original email and credentials if you wish.
