If you are interested in becoming a more proficient shooter this app is a must. The more I use BR the more I find not only what it can do but it gives me the tools to become better. Yes BR can analyze your shot groups but it can also provide the insights to become better. 1) I discovered in BR a tab marked INSIGHTS. Using insights I can analyze various shooting factors such as my shot groups performance based on ammo. (Using ammo is just one of many factors that can be used to provide meaningful results.) From what I read on the internet I thought ammo from company A was better than ammo from company F in my rifle. To my surprise using BR I can clearly see that ammo-F is superior (in my rifle.) I will definitely look at the other factors to help me become better. 2) Another tip - there are a myriad (over 100 Insights) of available factors that can provide valuable information. BUT you can use sliders to shorten the list. At the top of the INSIGHTS tab you will see FILTERS. Select filters than select SELECTED INSIGHTS. Here you can temporally remove factors from display so you can narrow the list to the factors you are interested in. 3) You vs Everyone. If you go to the SESSIONS tab in the middle you will see Benchmark Shot metrics. Initially they say "Personal Percentile.” These are YOUR shot metrics and compares metrics with YOUR other range sessions that have the same target distance and weapon type. Now if you tap on the screen it changes to Global Percentile. Now it displays how your shot metrics compare to the World (or at least to everyone who has entered their shot metrics into the Ballistics Report world.) one more tap on the screen and it hides the percentiles. Note: I’m not the developer of Ballistics Report but I am fairly confident this is how it works.
(3) More On Insights - Within INSIGHTS the first few Insights are tabulation of your BESTs. Ex: Best MOA Shot Accuracy. After the “bests” are other insights which can be bar charts or area charts. On a bar chart insight - by tapping on a bar you can see the value for that metric. So you can narrow the value to what interests you. On area charts - you can use your finger to move the vertical date reference to select another date corresponding to a date of a prior session. Moving the date reference you can see how sessions relate to another session date.

Great app!

I have sighted three weapons and the system worked like a charm. Hammering nails at 200yds. Sighted at 50 with three rounds

Worst App on Apple!!

Who is giving this a positive rating?

This isn’t just a terrible shooting app, it is horrible app period. Jump through their ridiculous assumptions and initial questions. I should have known after the first question.

I’m disappointed Apple doesn’t get rid of garbage like this app.

Response from developer

Sorry to hear you did not have a great onboarding experience. We recently were testing a new onboarding questionnaire and have received negative feedback, and now have simplified the process. We’d like to offer you free range sessions so you can get a better idea of how tracking your shot groups and getting instant shot group metric feedback can be helpful. If you download the latest version 4.29 you can reach out to the support chat at the bottom of the onboarding offer page ( or the support chat on the More tab, if you already have access to the main app) and we can send those free range sessions your way.

App use

So far, I’ve only had a chance to shoot this new AR 10 build one time I was adjusting zero on my scope. I haven’t gone into detail with using the app but so far seems user-friendly.

Response from developer

Thanks for the amazing review!

Works great so far

First range report was good. They didn’t allow me to include a scope in optics.
