  • Activision certified launch troubles

I have awaited the launch of Warzone mobile for about nine months now, hoping that it would be a great alternative for the mainstream Warzone game on console and PC. Hearing good things about the game and visuals prior to release, I really anticipated the launch of this title! But of course, like many of Activision’s previous offerings, it launched as a buggy inaccessible mess for those on weaker devices. While that should be given based on the term “weaker,” I have heard that many people with higher quality phones still suffer issues relating to server delay, controls, and constant overheating. I have encountered many of these issues throughout my playtime, albeit alongside terrible visual quality and constant stuttering. Now don’t get me wrong, what’s here is a good game! It just needs a little more time in the oven like most of the company’s previous releases. I would say spare yourself the terrible first impression and wait for a few patches and updates.

    P.S.———

Hopefully this review is helpful, and hasn’t already been deleted by Activision again.

  • Needs some finishing touches

Skins are blurry especially sub zero dressed as Ghost . Dolphin dive needs a little touch up or we just gotta get a little use to it. Button layout gives me anxiety with how unresponsive it feels at times. Button to prop him on wall , crate or even stair case is a cool essential but needs some getting use to. Whenever you make a load out , it always switching to battle royal by default so you might hop on mosh pit and not have your guns you thought you setup. I’m not a great player but I ain’t the worse neither but switching from COD mobile to this had me feeling like a rookie . I would respawn a lot mostly because I was messing with the layout only to decide leaving at on default. Game says the more you play the more it downloads and it’ll eventually reach its potential and beyond. I don’t know if the graphics get better or if that’s their way of telling is their updates are gonna have us buying iPhones with 120 gigabytes or more. Other than that it’s pretty cool yet feels unpolished but what can you expect on the 1st week

  • It could be better

It’s not terrible but it’s still not very good, it doesn’t have any of the old guns so what’s the point of adding the old map, and u add the old maps but i can’t pick how many people i want to play with? that’s so dumb. There’s no plunder of tdm so there’s basically no good way to level up your guns. Also don’t forget how the game crashes and doesn’t let u play, and when it does crash it doesn’t load u back into your match, it’s very annoying. Fix the crashing, add the old guns, and add good game modes. Also make it so players can pick what game mode they want and what amount of teammates they want too, instead of only putting battle royal squads, duos, and trios. Just make it so that u can tap battle royal verdansk and pick solo, duo, trio, or squads. same with every other battle royal game mode, including rebirth. why is the only rebirth game mode squads? most players are playing solo or duos so why put squads. Just please fix the game Activision. This has so much potential, please don’t ruin it.

  • Amazing game

This game is amazing! In my opinion, a very fun alternative to play when the damascus gring on CoDM runs a little stale. I know for some people the game may be over heating or they're complaining about frame drops, but for me there really isn't any problems! My phone stopped getting hot after about an hour or so of play [i'm using a case with no external cooler system/fan]. Really the only "issue" that pops up is the occasional small fps drop, but its nothing that will mess me up as a player all that much. The game isn't even draining that much battery either! At about 60% I can play roughly an hour and a half, sometimes two hours without it dipping below 20%. I must say that I was originally skeptical about it after seeing people complain, but I knew that it would be fixed and ready to go. Props to you, Activision!

  • My honest review

This is my honest review about the game. I have been a big fan of CODM and l was so excited to hear the announce of Warzone Mobile coming and was so happy that it came on iOS but there are some things that are not good 1. Graphics and FPS - You do not have control about playing what graphic settings you want. In other wise, you only get to select two options that the game thinks it can run on but that sometimes will not help the game play better. I have a M2 and l can’t go lower then high which kinda makes me made because l prefer better fps then graphics. There are some parts on the map where the graphics don’t even look good playing on high fps. Some parts are just choppy. 2. Optimization - The optimization on the game is terrible for lower end devices and some higher ones. The games runs smoothly on any iPad Pro version or any that l know of pro model for the phone. I tried playing it on my iPhone 13 and the game fps dropped significantly that l couldn’t even play the game properly. The game is good but l’m hoping some of this stuff will be taken care of soon in future updates in the game

  • DO NOT BE FOOLED! CONTROLLER SUPPORT IS VERY LIMITED!

The game devs promote that this game has controller support but there is a HUGE caveat in there! No controller settings besides general sensitivity, so no button mapping, no proper ads sensitivity settings, no deadzone settings, no auto-sprint, basically no customizations at all. Heck, there are also lots of controller optimization issues where it doesn’t even function in certain places and scenarios. You’re essentially forced to use touch.

Other things to note. Tons of QOL features missing like bag space for more armor, saving gun builds, choosing your own perks, etc., graphical settings, downloadable assets instead of graphics streaming they’re using, general bugs, overheating, audio issues and limited audio settings.

There is just so much missing! It’s extremely disappointing. The game wasn’t ready for the release. Devs knew it wasn’t ready for the release. I knew it wasn’t ready for the release when ATVI CM posted “our goal is to fix as much as possible” before the release. Their goal wasn’t to create a game people enjoy but to create something that’s half baked and barely functional. That’s accounting all the time this game been on limited release. Extremely disappointing. If this game. Doesn’t fail, yes, I can see it be amazing in 1-2 years time. But not now, and who knows maybe ever, if it fails.

  • A pretty big letdown

I’ve overall been really enjoying the game I’ve only rated three stars because I was really hoping it would be like mw2019 more then what it is overall what made me really upset was the movement it’s really clunky and slow and I was hoping that too was like mw2019 as they perfected movement in that game as a big cod player not excluding codm this was a big letdown. Also the guns, I was really hoping it would just be mw2019s guns as they were perfect but these guns have systems that can be really overwhelming especially with how many there really are plus most of them feel like hitmarker machines barley doing any damage yet Overall I have been really happy with this game after waiting years for it and these letdowns are really the only thing stopping me from really loving the game. I really have no other issues at all my iPhone 15 runs it great and the graphics don’t look to bad. But I hope these get approved on yet the only thing I really can do is hope.

  • Basically Pub G

If I’m being honest, just get pub G at this point. The movement is alright and they probably spent more money on the loading screen and app icon then the actual game. Stick with COD mobile for now my people. The aiming is ability dog booty and the guns are trash. The graphics need more work cuz right now they look like a 5 year old drew the map with a crayon. The map is like a quarter size of the original normal better COD mobile. I’m pretty good at COD mobile and I shoot my shots, but when I shoot ppl on warzone, they. Don’t. Die. The icons for shooting and stuff are way to small but I bet u can change those in setting like CoD. The reloading for the guns are wayyyy to slow. (referring to snipers) I understand that the JUST released the game, but I feel like they could have done a better job.

Ik im being harsh, but they delayed this game release for at least 5 or 6 months. They could have fixed these issues during that time period.

My user on CoD Mobile is RavenJinx_ if u guys wanna play with me.

  • Terrible Launch, horrible optimization

I’ll be the first to say it since no one else will: this is terrible. They put more effort on the ingame micro-transactions store than anything else.

The performance of this game of atrociously bad. Everything from gun play, controls, online service, to even just the UI.

    Performance:
    - low FPS
    - no low graphic option
    - extremely grainy/blurry making it feel like you’re playing on 144p somehow.
    - little to no graphics options to adjust this
    - the UI lags
    - the main menu stutters and fails to load very well somehow
    - phone heats up super quickly

    Control/gameplay:
    - this is the absolute worst controls I’ve even felt and not even the gyroscope works.
    - the gyroscope is extremely delayed and just snaps around
    - the control layout editor is super cluttered and even has a “background image overlay” making it even more confusing on what is and isn’t a button
    - the control options like toggling certain stuff on and off, there so many you don’t even know what half even do
    - searching for a specific option is terrible, it’s so cluttered and the gryopscope option was hidden under gameplay instead of sensitivity for some reason
    - touch controls are laggy

Overall: terrible. It’s very hard to even get this game to function to a acceptable degree. COD mobile launch was far better than this, as it was still playable. This on the other hand, is just frustrating. I looked at the ingame store and it’s clear where most of their effort went.
