  • No diversity in character profile edit

I’m Afro American…I can only edit my character profile to be white, alien or monster and none of those represent me. Apparently Apple doesn’t believe I can be the BLACK KING that I AM.

We appreciate your feedback regarding diversity and representation. Thank you for bringing this to our attention, we'll work on it. Kind regards, Chess Universe Team
  • Trash

    Just trash
  • Hints

I've turned off show valid moves in options, but they won't go away.

    Developer Response

Dear Goatduster, if you have turned off valid moves while in specific puzzle, they will be turned off when you will come next time in any puzzle. We hope this helps. Kind regards, Chess Universe team ♟🤗❤
  • Confusing

Playing regular chess is fine, I guess, but all this added stuff makes it super confusing on what you’re supposed to do.

I didn’t see anywhere that teaches you on how to play the game if you have zero experience with chess. The Chess Academy section just tells you to make checkmate in one or two moves, not actually helpful for learning how to play. There should be a section on what all the pieces are and how they can move. I can’t find that anywhere.

Dear Brandon, thank you for your feedback. In every chess puzzle, we provide a text hint at the top, written by chess grandmasters, to provide valuable insight into the current position. Additionally, in the top-right corner, we offer a HINT button that provides a visual hint on the board for the next move. These two features are helpful for analyzing the position. We have plans to further enhance the game in future updates by adding basic information about piece movements and rules of the game. Kind regards, Chess Universe team 💖🤗♟️
  • Bugs and where is the Mac version?

When playing against the chimp computer, the controls to turn off hints and legal moves don’t work. Also, I thought this was an arcade game and it would be available on Mac?

Dear mikehihz, Thank you for your inquiry. In our PLAY VS COMPUTER mode, we offer two sub-modes to enhance your chess experience. The first sub-mode allows you to play against the computer, where you can start from different positions. We have introduced various characters, such as Chimp, to represent different opponents. Some of these characters employ the ABC mode of chess, which presents you with three move options to choose from. This feature is particularly beneficial for beginner players as it helps them understand which moves are considered good. Among the three moves presented, only one move is optimal. Additionally, you have the option to select a character that does not employ the ABC mode. In this case, you will not see arrows on the chessboard indicating the best moves. Before starting the game, you can tap on the image of the character to view specific details about that opponent. If the details mention "ABC - Best moves are shown," you can skip this opponent if you prefer not to have this type of assistance. On the details screen, you can also tap the "MAKE HARDER" button, highlighted in purple, to switch to a different computer opponent. Second sub mode in PLAY VS COMPUTER is PRACTICE MATCH, where you can select computer opponent with strength level from 1 to 9 and no arrows will be present on the chessboard. We appreciate your interest in a Mac version. We will investigate the possibility and aim to include it in future updates. If you have any further questions or suggestions, please feel free to reach out to us. Kind regards, The Chess Universe Team
