Leave a Review Zen Word®
Beware of unvetted scam ads created by AI.
Although the game itself is great, the online version contains some rather convincing AI created scam ads. Advertising through this site is not vetted, so enjoy the game, but be wary of ads that appear too good to be true.
After placing this review, I received a quick response from the developer asking for more detailed information, on the scam ads, so they could block them. Since placing my original review I have not seen any more of those ads. I was impressed to see how seriously they took this issue. My family, including my school age grandchildren and husband who is rehabilitating from a stroke, continue to benefit from and enjoy this game.Show lessDeveloper Response

Highly-recommended, with a strong caveat! This has the potential to be a 5-Star game. However, it’s a word game with a bad dictionary. For example, today the fully unscrambled word was ‘pending’, yet, even though the word, in the Zen Word dictionary, is derived from ‘pend’, the game will not accept ‘pend’ as a shortened unscrambled word. And, there’s no reason that a complete dictionary shouldn’t be attached as your reference dictionary! A person doesn’t have to be a native English speaker to utilize a comprehensive English dictionary. Speaking of which, the dictionary is heavily-weighted toward British English, whereas a Complete English reference wouldn’t ignore common American English. Then, it would be a 5-Star game! I’ll keep playing and enjoying it, but will continue to encounter these very frequent frustrations. It seems strange that you accept very obscure scientific terms, but not common American English vocabulary.Show lessWhy did you change coins so that they are worthless?
You used to be able to use coins to buy hints. Why has this feature been taken away? What good does it do to have coins if you can’t use them for anything? The coins are worthless! I agree with others about the ads, but I was able to remove them on a yearly basis for either $4.99 or $5.99 I don’t remember which and it was worth it. It was a bit of a bait and switch when they showed all these extensive lists of words you need to find when about the most I’ve ever needed to find was 18 to 20 and i’ve done over 1000 levels. Some of the words are unusual so it offers a good opportunity to learn new words although the definitions can be confusing. It can be relaxing just not what it was advertised. BRING BACK THE USE OF COINS TO BUY HINTS!!!Show lessDeveloper Response
