## What is 1917. Free history?

Project 1917 (project1917.ru) is a documentary series that comes in the form of a social network; it is a virtual journey through time. In the network all the defining figures of 1917 - the Emperor and all his family, poets, painters and artists - are brought back to life. Subscribe to their pages, comment on their posts, interact with them and find out who you could have been in 1917.

Project 1917 is based entirely on historical documents; not a single crumb of fiction sullies its pages. All the posts transcribed on behalf of our protagonists are taken directly from their letters, memoirs and diaries.

The heroes and heroines we have unearthed number over 1500. They are joined by hundreds of photos and videos, and all this is accessible through a stylish, easy-to-use interface. 

Every day you will learn about what happened to our protagonists, and indeed to the whole country, exactly one hundred years ago. What captured their attention, what happened to them in this eventful year? Just as in regular social networks, you can read today's thread and cast it into the past, but you cannot look into the future.

"1917. Free History" is published by Yandex as part of a programme to develop cultural and educational initiatives in the field of history, literature, art and philosophy.

Замечательное приложение. Но при попытке загрузиться на ios18.3.1 сваливается на белый экран - прошло 2 месяца - на 18.2 тоже не грузилось

Восхитительный проект Яндекса! Установила программу в 2017 и ежедневно следила за всеми новостями 1917 года. Очень жаль, что больше программа не поддерживается и просто висит, надеюсь, что к 110ой годовщине Революции запустят обновлённую версию данной программы.
А ещё хочу также окунуться в события 1939-1945гг.!
