Seriously? ### 1/5 — No auto login!! *2023-06-14* This app does not support face ID, and does not offer your password, so every time you launch it, you have to go to settings, go to passwords find your password, copy and paste it into the app then go back to settings and copy and paste the password. Ridiculously slow and lame. **Developer response:** Dear Parent, Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We would like to let you know that this option of Face ID has been provided with the family app login, hope you have had a chance to look into it and update it to the newest version. ### 1/5 — Lobbying to switch apps at this point *2023-06-13* Why do payments keep failing to go through on the app, why does it crash randomly accessing different features inside the app, why do I have to turn off a VPN connection to log in? Because this is a poorly built app with even worse support. Our school has even confirmed they are looking for alternatives to switch to that aren’t nearly as problematic. ### 1/5 — Do NOT give your bank acct info *2023-05-09* We were using this app for auto payments to our child’s daycare. When we were asked to no longer use this app there is NO way to delete your bank account information out of the app. It is still pulling money out of my account after multiple attempts to reach customer service and request my bank account be disenrolled and deleted! ### 1/5 — Glitchy *2023-02-01* Seems like new updates constantly being pushed through, but they break other functions. (E.g., added video download option in gallery but now the videos won’t play.) Wish it just worked consistently. ### 2/5 — Lots of bugs *2023-01-27* The most recent update added the capability of downloading videos. Unfortunately, now none of the videos work…😡 Also, I keep getting notifications about attendance and health screening for my child, even after my child has been checked in. Sometimes the alert will sound in the middle of the night randomly as well. We used childpilot at our previous daycare and never had issues like this. ### 2/5 — Bugs and Usability Issues *2022-12-29* I left a review six months ago, unfortunately none of these basic issues were fixed. The newest feature they added was Gallery view but even that one isn’t allowing to perform the most basic of actions: download your own videos. Here is a list of the two major issues in descending order. 1. Can’t download videos. There is no way to get the videos shared by the school with your family or keep them for yourself. Image downloads work just fine. 2. Can’t use FaceID to login. This is almost 2023, this is a basic fundamental feature. In addition on any new iPhone the keypad to enter your PIN is overlapping with the horizontal swipe bar at the bottom of the screen. That means pressing that number is harder and it looks amateurish. 3. When double tapping to zoom into a photo it doesn’t zoom in a bit, but to something like 800% amplification instead of something like 100%. Mostly, the most infuriating missing feature is the inability to download videos. It’s so fundamental that I can’t believe it’s still missing. I contacted their support a few times to ask about this. The response is “we will tell you when it’s ready”. It’s been over a year and it still isn’t a available. ### 1/5 — Started making me log in every single time *2022-08-18* Recently the app started forcing me to enter my password every single time I open it, yet they have no option to enable FaceID. How is it possible for an app in 2022 to not have FaceID? Insanely frustrating. ### 1/5 — Short timeout 😠😠😠 *2021-01-22* The amount of time I get to sign my kids in from scanning the barcode is way too short. After I drop off i have to drive away to allow the next family to drop off. I try to park but I don’t always make it in time. Will crash often requiring you to reopen and log in. More frequently, have been getting “unable to connect to server” error message. Have to delete and re-install the app to work again. It’s a shame that the developers do not take all the low reviews seriously and fix these issues. In the age of genetic AI, I hope these all these developers get replaced ### 1/5 — Sign in crashes the app *2025-11-19* Scan QR -> tap sign in -> app crashes ### 1/5 — QR code is not working! *2025-09-26, version 2.8* QR code stopped working! It doesn’t show anything (blank white instead of camera) when clicked on to scan the QR code! ### 1/5 — Qr code Scanner doesn’t work *2025-08-26, version 2.8* The only thing I need this app for is to scan a QR code to check my kids in and out, and it doesn’t work. ### 1/5 — No tech support *2024-05-22* I invited my husband and he used the link sent to his email to register, but on his phone it says “no child to display.” The app support button takes you to a webpage with a 404 error. The developer says I need to contact the provider, but I need a unilateral way to disenroll from autopay. Not sure why this app has so low rating. ### 4/5 — Good but needs slight improvement *2023-02-27, version 1.9.2* We enjoy getting the updates and checking out the pictures/videos. I do agree with a couple previous comments. If you’re an iPhone user, the passcode overlaps with the lower bar so 75% of the time I have to re-type the code. FaceID would be so much easier. ### 3/5 — Allow diverse names. *2022-08-23* I entered my daughters middle name, which has an ‘é’, and was told to enter a valid name. Every time I try to look at the gallery the app shuts down. I’ve waited minutes and still can’t do the check in. I would close the app, wait and open it up again and won’t be able to login the Keypad for the 4 digit code does not respond. I need to reboot my phone to be able to login again. ### 2/5 — Logs me out *2024-03-11* Why do I have to manually type my email address and re-login all day long? Either the app (when left open) needs to NOT continually log us out, or there needs to be a pin code/quicker way to login each time. ### 2/5 — Not easy to view pictures. *2023-10-12* Really the only think I need from this app is to easily see the pictures that are posted of my child each day. Both daily summary and gallery options make it hard to scroll through and zoom into pictures. Our other center used HiMama which was much much better. Also, I liked the fun HiMama app art and colors. This app art does not look like anything related to joy or childhood.
