PPL don't waste your money for a unfriendly app and company. I live within the county of the apps origin so I figured it would be pretty decent locally. Nope. Very few actual events shared. I reached out to the admin to become a tipster. Radio silence. I think if they had more people involved maybe it would be decent. The footprint is there. Price is super reasonable. My settings were all on to receive everything. As of March 2017 I am unable to get banner, sound, vibration alerts on my iPhone or my iPad. No problem with any other sounds and alerts from other Apps just this one. Unfortunately this app is of no use to me at this point. ### 4/5 — Getting better... *2017-02-02, version 1.5* I am continuing to test this service. I have seen an improvement over the last couple of weeks. I am monitoring the events that I receive with a competitive service as well as live audio from my scanner. No service is as good as an actual scanner, but they should be Johnny on the spot for major incidents, which is not always the case. (For any service) At this point, my biggest issue is the delay time. Often times the issue is over before an alert is issued. Overall though, pretty good service for the state of Maine. I will continue to monitor and update.
