### 4/5 — Sounds cuts out sometimes

*2026-08-25, version 11.2*

Useful app with loads of options. However randomly the sound won’t always work for the chain timer - probably 10-20% of the time between transitions.

### 2/5 — Promises…

*2026-08-17, version 11.2*

This app promises multiple timers. In advanced mode, I see how I can define multiple timers each with a name, an emoji, and a time duration (or ending time), but I see no buttons to launch any of them. I am sure it’s there somewhere, but it is not something that I can find on my own. The buttons on the app should be (1) where they need to be and (2) clearly labeled.
When I click on the diagonal arrows, I get a new screen with a big 00:00, and there is nothing to do on that screen.
The Help page is so basic to be useless.

### 5/5 — An Essential Tool for ADHD Time Blindness

*2026-05-28, version 11.2*

I’ve tried countless timer and productivity apps over the years, but 1Timer has become one of the few apps that I genuinely use every single day.

As someone with ADHD who experiences significant time blindness, this app has become an essential part of how I navigate daily life. I keep a Bluetooth earbud in throughout the day and use the Chain feature every day as a structured guide for managing my time from morning until evening. I use it to make sure I leave for work on time, return from lunch on time, wrap up projects before meetings, begin transitioning out of tasks when necessary, and finish packing up at the end of the day so I can leave work on schedule and avoid traffic delays.

The Quick Timer feature helps me create time constraints for chores, household tasks, and activities that might otherwise consume far more time than I intended. The Advanced Timers allow me to save recurring timers for things I need constantly—washer cycles, dryer cycles, paint drying times, cooking tasks, project work, and countless other routines.

One feature I especially appreciate is the ability to configure repeated reminders after a timer has completed. For many people, a timer going off once may be enough. For someone with ADHD, that’s not always the case. I may acknowledge the timer, become distracted by whatever I’m currently doing, and then completely forget the original task. The repeated reminder feature helps bridge that gap. It’s particularly valuable for things like laundry, where forgetting to move clothes from the washer to the dryer can mean having to wash them all over again. Knowing that the app will continue reminding me until I address the task provides a level of support that many timer apps overlook.

What makes 1Timer so valuable is that it helps externalize my sense of time. ADHD often makes it difficult to accurately perceive the passage of time, estimate how long something will take, or remember to return to a task after stepping away. Instead of constantly checking clocks, setting alarms manually, or trying to keep track of everything in my head, the app becomes a reliable system that keeps my day moving. For me, it has become one of the most important accessibility tools on my phone.

That said, there is one area that I believe needs significant improvement: the voice options.

Currently, Samantha is the only voice that I find consistently understandable and useful. Most of the other voices sound either overly robotic, heavily stylized, or artificial to the point that they become difficult to understand quickly. When a timer notification is meant to interrupt a task and redirect attention, clarity matters more than novelty.

I would strongly encourage the developers to rethink their approach to voice design. GPS navigation apps have largely solved this problem. They offer voices that are clear, natural, distinct, and easy to understand instantly, while still giving users meaningful choices in tone and personality. A timer app serves a very similar function: delivering important information that users need to process immediately.

For users with ADHD, executive dysfunction, time blindness, or other accessibility needs, the voice isn’t merely a cosmetic feature. It is part of the functionality of the product itself. Voices that convey clarity, comfort, confidence, and encouragement would make an already excellent app significantly more effective.

Despite that criticism, 1Timer remains one of the most useful apps I’ve ever installed. It’s simple, reliable, flexible, and has become deeply integrated into my daily routines. If the voice system were improved, I would consider it close to perfect.

### 5/5 — Wish I Found This Sooner

*2026-05-18, version 11.2*

This app has made a real impact in my life. Being able to hear the countdown during tasks where I struggle with time blindness has made a huge difference

### 5/5 — Well done.

*2026-05-14, version 11.2*

Very helpful.

### 1/5 — widget

*2026-05-08, version 11.2*

I try to change to target time on the widget and it keeps reverting back to default times. there is also no way of seeing the countdowns unless you stay on the app. I understand the voice aspect is its main function but not having easy access to the different kinds of timers and a visual option of current countdowns is very inconvenient. If I am paying for premium features i should be able to start preset timers from a widget.

### 2/5 — Good app be beware of scareware ads on free version

*2026-03-18, version 11.2*

I like this app it is very useful however, I noticed recently that when I opened it, I received one of those weird notification about possible security breach on my iPhone. Of course the notification is not really from my iOS but is either advertisement or something malicious. I don’t mind ads but stop the scareware.

### 2/5 — Changed Pricing before my eyes, and please update voices - they are awful.

*2026-02-16, version 11.2*

I used this app for a month, having paid for one full Pro month.
Yesterday, I decided to keep the app, and the App Store offered a lifetime price of $29.99.
Lo and behold, I look at my Apple statement today and see that I’ve been billed only $14.99, but that is for only a one year license.
What is going on ?
I decided I was happy to pay the lifetime fee, as I actually really like this app, and I’d prefer this lifetime license rather than paying $14.99 every year.
Please fix this.
Also one comment on the app - really great for us with ADHD, but pleeeeaase bring in some better voices.
I’ve gone with the Daniel voice for now. The others are, in my view, beyond horrific, and really when you compare any of the choices to the various voices in apps these days, they are quite an embarrassment.
Let’s bring this a little bit up to date, at least, please.
With updated voices and my lifetime license that was offered to me, and which I paid for, I’d give this app 5 stars.

### 5/5 — simple and clear

*2026-01-26, version 11.2*

counts down. easy to use.

### 2/5 — Intrusive ads

*2026-01-10, version 11.2*

Loud video ads routinely pop up, apparently triggered when starting the timer. Trying to dismiss them usually leads to activating a link to the advertiser’s website.
