When you click home after reading you’re message it takes you all the way out to the sign in part for me it does anyway ### 4/5 — Good *2024-04-25, version 4.10* It’s a good app, may need some updates and slight fixes. Easy to navigate thru. ### 3/5 — Frustrating *2022-11-08* While the app is helpful in comparison to trying to get representatives on the phone for weekly certifications, the app works 60% every time (anchorman reference). Since august, the app has completed my weekly certifications with no error messages like 4 times. That’s not good. I am eventually able to get in contact with the unemployment office to file weekly certifications I was not able to do on the app but it’s a 2-3 day process. Ain’t nobody got time for that. Especially when the app is supposed to be easy and fast. ### 2/5 — So-So *2022-08-02* This application is handy; there’s no doubt about that. However, it crashes often and could use enhancements as far as usability goes. It’s easier to type all of the information needed on the website. There’s also a bug or something at the login screen. If you save your passwords to your phone or third-party app, it’s going to tell you your password is incorrect. You literally have to copy what was entered into the password field, delete it and the paste it back and you can login successfully. ### 2/5 — I can’t even use the app *2021-07-26, version 2.5* The app started off just fine, I don’t know what happened. I haven’t been able to sign in for the last weeks. It just tells me something went wrong and to try again later? I called MDES number listed in the app and it literally said that it wasn’t a working number. I’m not angry or raging, I’m genuinely just confused. The app won’t even let me scroll through my answers to my weekly certifications... I only gave it two stars, cause it’s helping keep my bills paid. ### 5/5 — Better than the website! *2020-10-20, version 2.5* It is so easy to log in, navigate, and understand. The website logs me out before I get where I need to be. It has limited information. The app is far better than the website. I guess their working out the kinks but it gets the job done eventually : ) ### 3/5 — My session expires for no reason!! *2020-09-21* Twice now i was putting in my work searches and outcomes, all including addresses, website info, etc. and when i reached the end i would try to submit it and a pop up appears telling me that the session has expired! But it lets me put in all this info about the 3 to 5 places i had applied and submitted my resume to, and at the very end lets me know that i had to start ALL over again because my “session” had expired and no info was submitted after all. That is VERY irritating, especially when you have a deadline. It tells you that an answer to question 1 is mandatory after u just answered it. 4. it apparently times out if you don’t respond quickly enough in the comments section of question 2, requiring a complete start over including the log in. Sometimes it doesn’t work at all, but given the fact that speaking to an actual person at MDES has been an impossibility for months now, I guess it’s better than nothing. It’s comparable to the antiquated MDES website, outdated and insufficient. Update: This app is very slow, often crashes, and sometimes it takes days for it to work. I could tap (tried all categories) but it never changed from the home screen. Yea it does its job but the avenues you have to go through to get there is super annoying. I don’t understand why MDES can’t have a small group of people handle their website and app. It could be so much smoother and more user friendly. It loads without opening pages then open every single thing you clicked on. ### 1/5 — Don’t bother, website is much faster *2020-04-12* This app is so so slow! You can try to hit a button and it will say “please wait” then go right back to the menu. So you hit the button again and it will do the same thing over and over. Then after about 8 minutes, it finally is loading the page you pushed the first time and it pops up once for each time you pushed the button. So now you have to wait for it to pop up 20 times before you can do anything.
