Love this game but it has started ending with moves still available and flashing annoying ads

So I’m among the many who will probably complain about this but the game backs out. I’ve noticed that it backs out once there are no more moves left WHICH I was initially fine with but I got to the point where I am able to merge two 1024s together and I had many room left. However after a few moves of trying to get those two numbers to merge, my game crashes and it restarts it all over again. Definitely frustrated as I assumed the back out was just for when there aren’t any moves left but it looks like it can just happen randomly.
