Aunties complain it happens to them when trying to comment. Isn’t that the whole purpose of this app? Customer service is back and forth and ultimately useless. Also the video quality for premium member has never looked like high quality - always blurrier than what it appears in my phone album. ### 3/5 — Frustrating *2026-04-05, version 9.0.2* We’ve had this app for years, and it took some time to get all family etc on board, but been a great option to have a closed network. However a consistent problem has been they dont allow stories or posts to save as drafts, and I’d say 1/ 4 times you spend time on a post and then it just disappears! Very frustrating. ### 3/5 — They don’t prevent login sharing so anyone can share their login info *2025-12-24, version 8.10.1* The concept is great, and this is one of the better ones I’ve seen. However, they don’t stop people from sharing login credentials, so people can just share that with anyone else and then the whole thing is just kind of not worth it. The good being that they don’t sell your info (at least that’s what they say), and they make sharing images between family easy. Only other gripe I have is I do wish there was a way to have a title for each shared collective of images instead of only allowing a caption for each individual image. ### 3/5 — great.. most of the time *2025-11-23, version 8.8.1* I started using this app 6 years ago when all the features were free and I loved being able to share every picture with family. As the years have passed most posting features are behind a paywall, and because all my pictures were already on the app I didn’t want to change to a different platform. The app runs well most of them time however when I want to post a video it often crashes.. ### 4/5 — No favourites folder? *2025-03-29, version 8.6.2* Previous to the recent update, you could see your favourites folder as an album option when importing photos. Now it’s gone ### 4/5 — Love this app but recent update is buggy *2025-02-25, version 8.5.8* This app is awesome. It’s basically my journal of my kiddo & it’s private. I pay a subscription to use it. Lately tho, I select photos to upload & it freezes the app. I have to reselect them & go again. Usually works the second time. If you have a lot of photos tho, it’s frustrating. ### 3/5 — Good, not Great *2023-12-29, version 8.4.5* I’ve used this app for over a year now. It has two glaring flaws. 1. The news feed is not in chronological order by the dates user indicates. It’s chronological by the day the user input them into the feed. The user can put in entries after an event happened, set the date it happened, but the app will not reorder the timeline of events to match the date the user set. 2. The printed books the app can generate from the general newsfeed are missing any text the user puts into the app to tell the story behind the pictures. If the user is trying to utilize the app as a journal, it’s pointless to print a hard copy book of the general newsfeed as it will not contain any written information. The pros: Yes, it does allow the user to limit access to whoever they want to see their content. Its is fairly simple to use. Viewers of the user’s content can make comments about the entries. ### 3/5 — Needs more work to be user friendly *2022-12-17, version 8.4.3* Generally an ok app to use as a premium member but I strongly encourage the following: 1. The ability to post a story with a group of images and videos attached. Having to write all the text on one random photo is easily lost. Add this feature like StoryPark. Please please please create this so all the photos and videos (or at least photos) are all contained within the one story/post. 2. Ensuring photos aren’t uploaded out of order and clicking on the first photo thumbnail is the same order of photos as when you click to “view all”. I find my family is very confused when things appear out of order when they click the first photo instead of “viewing all” ### 1/5 — Privacy *2022-12-16, version 8.4.3* The app only works if you give them access to your entire photo library rather than you being able to choose select photos. For a company that pushes privacy, this is disappointing and I won’t be using this app anymore. ## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated) ### 1/5 — Was great until it wasn’t *2026-04-17, version 9.0.2* I have used this app to share photos of our son with family and close friends for 9 years. It worked great at the beginning and was free. It then became a paid monthly subscription but I kept going with it because it was a convenient way to share photos to a small select group and I had everyone set up on it. It has had kinks along the way with uploading in the past but they typically get resolved. I have been trying to upload photos for over 2 weeks with the app quitting on me every time and never fully processing. I reached out to customer service, they have followed up and requested additional info which I provided but there has not been a fix, offer of a credit or any other follow up. I would suggest looking at alternative photo sharing options. ### 1/5 — Glitchy App - No Fix *2025-04-04, version 8.6.2* The app has been glitchy for a month now, not allowing me to actually click the “done” button and post photos. I’ve tried contacting support and nothing has been fixed. I cancelled my subscription so I wasn’t wasting money on an unusable app. :( ### 1/5 — All useful features are now paid *2025-04-01, version 8.6.2* This app had already basically been abandoned. Attempting to monetize it by locking every basic feature behind a paid subscription while rolling out zero new features is nothing short of betrayal. Shame on you. When I open 23 Snaps, it shows the start page and then I touch on the first picture and it displays that picture then freezes. Can’t do anything else. Must swipe up to shutdown. (iPhone 14 Pro with 18.3.1) ### 1/5 — Was great until it wasn’t *2024-12-23, version 8.5.8* I used this app to share photos with family. I even upgraded to the paid premium. It suddenly stopped working, unable to upload photos which is the whole point of the app. I’ve emailed support 3 times, the only way to get in touch and received no response. I never had a problem until now but very disappointed. I’ll be canceling and looking for an alternative if I don’t hear back in the next couple days. ### 1/5 — Journal *2024-11-11, version 8.5.7* I had this app years ago it was called the journal I wrote loads down all my memories and had lots of pictures of my memories then one day I tried going back into it and lost everything all my memories I put in there had gone I’m tryna find a way of getting it all back ### 1/5 — Used to be great *2023-12-17, version 8.4.5* I am so disappointed that I can now only upload one photo at a time unless I pay for premium. I used to love easily sharing a few photos or a video to just my family, but now I’m going to have to find a new way to share. ### 1/5 — Don’t think this is a free app *2023-09-09, version 8.4.5* I’ve been using this app for several years and they are CONSTANTLY reducing functionality unless you pay for premium. So be aware the features you have when you start using it and advertised as free now may not be there after a few months. Notably the length of the videos you can upload keeps decreasing to now 10 seconds. I predict any video sharing will soon be part of the paid membership. Feels like bait and switch to advertise as a free app with certain features then over the course of developing a photo history on it those features are reduced. I still use the app but do not trust it and only recommend if the buyers are aware that the free side features will be reduced. If you buy premium, the cost in my opinion based on how the free side is managed will likely increase frequently. ### 1/5 — Used to be a fan *2023-03-18, version 8.4.3* Loved this app as my little one grew. Haven’t used it as much recently. Went to post some photos in it only to find out you can’t post multiple photos at the same time anymore with the premium membership? Had been wonderful in the past, but since I wanted to add more than one pic at a time I paid up. Things were fine until recently when I updated to latest OS for iPhone. NOW: I can’t open photos, there’s a weird first screen that’s all jumbled with no pics showing and I can’t see the columns of pics fully-each side is cut off. BUT to add insult to injury: NOW I can’t even open any pics up! So I thought that there might be a work around by using web version. NO DICE! Can’t open pics! PLEASE FIX APP and web access! Also: no such thing anymore of downloading pics from app or website to cameral roll.
