This was the best weather app in Madison—far superior to the ones provided by the other local tv channels, but now it’s practically unusable. I gave up reading a forecast for today’s weather after it was interrupted three times by Google ads that gave no option to skip, nor did they give any indication of how long they would last or how to go back to the content I was trying to read. If this doesn’t change soon, I’m uninstalling.

I use this app daily and find it to be a great source of weather info. However, the daytime photo of downtown Madison has a lot of white in it and obscures the dew point and humidity numbers at the bottom of the screen- both numbers that I look at a lot. You could either pick a different photo that is darker at the bottom or put in a gradual shaded area at the bottom of the photo in Photoshop to increase readability. Thanks!

No dew point being reported anywhere. 
Under “what’s new” it says there is a “fresh new look” but there is no such new look when I use the app. Same old look missing the dew point. It’s like the updated version is not actually there. I tried reloading, etc but have the same old app.

I hate ads, but just ignore that I hate them because I feel the app delivers accurate weather. However, I finally uninstalled the app because I am not going to sit and watch an app when checking the weather during severe weather.  So I changed to a different station that allows me to see the radar immediately during severe weather without having to view an ad.  I understand the point of ads, but make them smaller on the screen or do something for quicker viewing during severe weather!

This app had so many videos at one point it was a barrage. You have to click the X three times to close each pop up video ad. Even when app was minimized it was putting the video on front screen. Have never seen a legit iOS app act so clownish. Do better, Channel 27.

I have been using  the app for many years and have enjoyed it.   I have reached my limit with the ads.  Open, watch an ad. Click in the radar, watch an ad.  It is too much.  I am sick of it. I spend 50% of my time watching ads.  Life is too short for me to fund your app with my eyeballs.

...you'd think 30 minutes from now wouldn't be all that hard.  Not sure where the app gets it's data but it's not very good.  Looked at the predicted radar and it showed no rain for hours.  30 minutes later it's pouring.

I’ve used this app for years. Was Good up until recently. Now I get notifications for area 25-30 miles away. And that’s not what I need. I need immediate area that my family lives in. Not “Lightning detected 28.6 miles away”

This used to be a really good app.  The forecasts were accurate and the interface was easy to use.  Now it won’t run on my iPad Pro (if freezes on the GHC ad that comes up, although it still works on my iPhone) and it embarrasses me when I’m in public when it never used to.  I often check the weather when I’m out, in a restaurant, with friends, whatever.  What used to be a silent app now BLARES an advertisement when you least expect it.  Having dinner in a restaurant, or sitting in a waiting room for a dental appointment one hardly wants to start BLARING an advertisement for something from their iPhone.  I never know what the advertisement is for because I quickly exit the app in order to silence it.  This is horrible and I will no longer be using what was once was a great app.  The least you could have done was give users a chance to buy the app for $5 or $10 bucks (or charge a minimum monthly fee like 50 cents) in order not to have ads.  Or give them a heads up you will be having loud ads on your app when the uses least expects them.  I’ll probably change my 6:00 pm viewing to a different channel than 27 as well.  Fool me once…

Obnoxious app. An ad pops up for Steinhafels and a video plays. Then it gives you a button for more info. The x out at the top doesn’t work. And that is it. Stuck on the screen ad.

After all the years using the app I’m finally sick of it.

Pros: good forecast, detailed map

Cons: LONG start, must view their splash for a couple seconds THEN a GHC ad for a few more seconds EVERY TIME IT STARTS.  I got used to it but it’s still very annoying.

Now, ads pop up randomly without tapping any ad on the screen, with sound (usually loud).

Used to be a go-to app. It’s the exact same as NBC15’s app too. Removed the storm tracks/alerts. Now it’s just a screen full of colored boxes that doesn’t allow you to see anything. Do better.

I’ve used this app a long time. It’s been great for seeing the radar both past and present but with the increase of ads, the app crashing, or just plain being wrong a fairly good amount of time it’s become just like Wisconsin weather, bipolar and unpredictable. Do yourself a favor and find any other local weather app and stay away from this one

The Honda ad returned yesterday, and guess what it no longer works. Glad to see the WKOW app is more interested in showing an ad than having a working app. As I said, totally useless app.

I had the same problem of having to re-boot 27stormtrack and not getting it to open. My solution (that worked!!) was to delete the app, wait a while, and then go into the app store and re-load it from icloud. This DID work and I have 27stormtrack opening up again!!! Try it.

This is a really good app and I don’t see why the rating for it is low. It shows me everything I want and need to see for my current location and other locations as well. I recommend this app for people that want to stay safe when traveling and don’t want to be one of those people that have no clue what the wether is.

This is my go to App for weather. You get current and future radar, a 10 day forecast and hourly weather data. It doesn't matter where you live, you can put any city in for a home city and dozens of other cities. Love it!

I'm a bit of a weather geek, so I love checking out weather apps. So far, this one is incredible!  I love all the features. Very informative and works smoothly and up-to-date so far. (I've only had it a few days)

I have used many weather, and storm track apps.  I currently have 5 on my I phone 4.  This is by far the best of any I have used.  Besides showing more details on current and future weather.  It has an outstanding display to show you where storms are predicted to go future-wise.  Extremely easy to understand, fun to play with.  There is currently a snow storm possible heading my way, so ill give it a full test. Aside from that, I grew up watching meteorologist bob lindmeier on channel 27.  I find him to be one of the best meteorologist's out there.  So the added up to date video's of him giving the weather forecast, and explaining the storm patterns, is a much added benefit.  He really know's how to explain the weather.
The only two problems I find with this app, and would like to see one thing added.
1- when watching the videos if I turn my phone sideways, and let the video go to the end.  I will get stuck in a black screen.  Touching the screen does nothing, nor turning it upright.  I use the home button then reload the app.  This is on a iPhone 4, possibly just a bug, happens to lots of new apps.
2- I would like to see a way to share the weather/storm alerts.  On my other apps I can share the weather alert to Facebook or email even text on some.  This would be helpful in sharing weather information.  I couldn't seem to find any way to do this.
