I love it!
I am one of those people that downloads a ton of apps, but I never use them. Instapaper is one that I actually use on a daily basis. I love it. I previously used a similar app, but for some reason would always read all the advertisements that were on the webpage also.
Instapaper is great, because we all know that when we’re busy doing something it’s so easy to get distracted by things that we want to look up/research. Instead, I just Google what I’m looking for added to Instapaper and let it read it to me while I continue about my day. Highly recommend!Ashleyrenae0989
Excellent reading app to improve focus
I've used various apps to strip away the visual noise from online reading and so far Instapaper has the best user experience for lightweight speed reading. It's main downsides so far are that it sometimes cannot download and parse articles and the spoken audio seems to only work with iOS's built-in narrators (i.e., none of the English ones are enhanced or natural sounding). The speed read feature is a pleasant surprise. I found it easy to jump into despite never having used anything like it. Performance-wise, Instapaper will likely save battery life since it is smooth and cuts away all the ads from Web articles. Overall, it is worth a try for faster reading and retention.DJ Galda
Great app. Two suggestions
Great app that I’ve been using for several years now. The app hasn’t changed much for several years, but it’s been regularly maintained so I’ve never experienced bugs despite all the iOS updates. Technology has improved during that time, though. So here are two suggestions for improvement: (1) The speak function uses Apple’s and it’s rather bad compared to what is offered now: unnatural and it does not pay attention to the structure of the text (paragraphs, etc.). (2) speed reading could be improved: for example with the possibility to summarize the text (using AI, or simply making a summary with the first sentence of each paragraph), it could also use so-called “bionic” characters which makes it easier for the eyes to jump from one character to another.D_or 2000
