The very first app I would download
When setting up a new phone, the very first app I download is always Instapaper.
I like it so much i subscribed to premium just to say thanks.
Now, however I have a another reason to go premium; unlimited highlights & notes that I can export.
Anybody who needs to read information & retain key parts (business people, students, course creators, interested in self development, twitter ranters, conspiracy theorists, that second brain thing) this feature is for you.Show lessmichealoconchuir
Always Crashes
Since installing Instapaper on my iPhone 12, I have never managed to use it. Everytime I click on it, it crashes. I don’t know what is going wrong…M Chao

Update: Clear, concise feedback from the team. Reinstalling the app worked *chef’s kiss* Appreciate the new details/tweaks. Instapaper simply delivers. Highly recommend.
P.S Small example: when adding epubs to iBooks, font size can vary from book to book, forcing user to increase/decrease font size until desirable.
Instapaper does not have this issue. Again, highly recommend.

I use Instapaper regularly, and appreciate what the team is doing. Great idea and well executed. Unfortunately, I can no longer use the app. When selected, the logo appears, followed by a brief blank screen, only to return to home. I assume it has something to do with iOS 16 compliant, and didn’t see a way to contact the developers from the website, hence the review. Kind RegardsShow lessMontgomery90

Since the most recent update Instapaper has worked practically perfectly. (The only bug is that the app crashes when you delete the last article in a folder whilst reading it).M@Livesey
Full of bugs
This app has been full of bugs for years. It crashes constantly. Often, your place in an article isn’t saved. I had to reinstall it once because it wouldn’t save the font size I had set. It never remembers your background color selection. You navigate away from the app for a second—back to white background. I selected the option for the 100 Latest Articles in Archive. But it still shows only 10. Today, I couldn’t save an article to the Archive. It just wouldn’t do it.

Thanks for the feedback, sorry that you're experiencing crashing. Could you try using the "Repair Local Storage" option that's in the app's Settings > Advanced? I use this app for reading just about everything especially on my phone. It works... period. That's about the highest praise I can give it AFTER I submitted a bug report this morning. I got a response that they'd fixed it about 12 hours later. Fantastic app and super responsive support? What else can you ask for? Oh, and it automatically grabs new articles from my favorite site automatically because it supports IFTTT, to boot. Get this app and use it, you'll be happy with it. I'm thrilled!Show lessNot_Travis

I don't think I've seen a change in design in 10 years. I really like the reorganization of the text options, and moving speak and speed out of the Share menu. Even little things like replacing "Done" in the text options and More options with panels you can just slide or tap away, and expanding what's available in long press of the archive button - it's so much more modern and more intuitive to use.Show lessProfessor Media
Only a Few Minor Issues
The price is great for the functionality, though there have been a few times where for some reason images are missing or the share button on certain websites is missing. I downloaded Pocket for comparison and there were no issues with any of these. I still prefer Instapaper though because of it's minimalist design and customizability. Does not work as described
After a great start with this app where it downloaded various articles and I could read them offline in Instapaper, most sites downloaded to the app after a couple of days weren’t available to view offline and I had to select the option within the app to read the article via a browser which totally defeats the object of the app.
I’m not sure if it is because the extensions haven’t been downloaded or not but I think I will be deleting the app as it has become a waste of time and I will either use the Books app on iPad or a dedicated PDF reader.
I tried to report the issue to the Developer but the screen kept freezing during the signing in process. I hope the Developer sees this and and replies with a solution as I so wanted this app to work.Show lessGazzab6
