Recently Disappointed
This has been my favorite Vegas app for a while. I especially liked the news feed which always had informative and relevant Vegas information. However, recently the news items seem to have expanded to a lot of news that has nothing to do with Vegas. Why? We can get state, national and world news information from hundreds of other news sources. Don't lose the attraction that your news feed used to have!Show lessSpalaw

Invaluable tool
Update: The new version (2.6.1) is great! Runs noticeably faster and still all the great content. Still the premier Vegas application with the perfect blend of crowed-sourcing and expert commentary. Keep up the fantastic work!
Vegas Mate has always been a useful tool, but the new content in 2.5 makes it absolutely invaluable. Steve Freiss (of the New York Times and The Strip Podcast) knows more about Las Vegas than anyone and his commentary is fresh, funny, an totally helpful. The gps based features are fun, but I also can't wait to read up on my next flight out to the Sin City. With so many options in Vegas, the cost of this app is totally worth it in making a good trip great!Show lessrangerkeeper
One of, if not, the best Las Vegas resource out there.
A couple of years ago, a career change now requires me to visit Las Vegas every year for a convention, and with that, I was instantly transformed into a HUGE Las Vegas fanboy. I am very much an iPhone addict, and started to search for podcasts and apps related to Las Vegas.
Simply put, this is one of my favorite apps on my iPad and iPhone. Hunter is that friend with all sorts of Vegas related information you wish you had, and he makes that possible with a great app.
I cannot even begin to tell you how much this app has helped me. I can walk into a casino for the first time, and already have a great backstory, where to eat, what to do, what not to do…
Las Vegas can get very expensive, or it can be very cheap, and Vegas Mate helps me out greatly. If you visit Las Vegas on a regular basis, this app is A MUST.

A Must Have App
The last time we were in Vegas this application was amazingly useful. I highly recommend it to anyone traveling in the area looking for the current and latest on everything Vegas. It's a very user friendly application and with it's direction we had an incredible trip. Lacking some basics.
Overall very useful but lacking some basics: you can't add custom items (if it's not on the list you can't include it in your trip). You can't add time of day to hotels (say you want to spend some time exploring another hotel). Once you've started adding a trip item you can't cancel and go back if you can't find what you're looking for (forcing you to add something random and delete it). Shopping isn't included as an activity, neither are excursions like helicopter tours. I hoped to build up a full literary with this app; you can't do that.Show lessXen0s
