  • Awesome App, Just Fix Video Bug

The video of the fire says that it's damaged each time I turn it on. This makes the top, silver bar w/ the time on it pop up. The video continues to play, but The bar stays there. This happens each time I turn it on. I really love this app and hope that it will be updated soon, even if this app isn't a top priority. But then again, why should people buy an app with a video bug? PLEASE UPDATE! :)

  • Unbelievably realistic!!!!!

I grew up in Wisconsin with a fireplace that we used nightly. This app is just like being home for me!! Exactly the experience of a real fireplace! Ignore the reviews about "bad video" or whatever -- installed and worked perfectly on my 3GS. Buy this app!!!
  • I used to like it, but it is now junk

What reason on earth would the developer have to make this update only work on OS 3.1.3 and newer? This is pure BS, and there is no excuse. I still have the earlier app on both of my phones, but I have, for personal reasons, chosen not to update my OS to V3.1.3 to date.

This app is one of the few that insists on my buying into 3.1.3 in order to use the latest version of the app. It is pure nonsense. There is no technical reason for the limitation at all. Is Apple offering a bonus to developers who steer users to the latest version of the OS? In any event, if you choose to use anything other than the latest OS 3.1.3, this app is not for you. The developers are either lazy, or owned. Either scenario is less than OK in my book....

Love this app! Just wish it didn't cut off the top of the flames. Maybe they were going up inside the chimney and could not be recorded.
  • Awesome Fire Place, Love it!!!!!!

  • Great Fire App

This is a really good fire app, although it is my first fire app, I really like this one. I like how the app is very simple but still has some very good features like auto-extinguish, and you can even mute the sound of the fire and play the music from your iPod/iPhone library.
  • Good for the price. Could use some modifications though.

The fire is nice to watch. Be sure to change your screen settings so it doesn't go off every few minutes. One suggestion I would make for a future update would be to incorporate a function that would allow you to pause the music and then be able to resume where it left off. Maybe even skip a song on the playlist or go back and hear it again. Even delete or be able to rearrange songs on the playlist. More flexibility there would be very useful. As it is now, once you pause a song and start again, it goes all the way back to the beginning of the entire playlist and you have no control over it - very annoying. Also, separate volume controls for the fire sounds and the music would be a plus. Right now you have a choice between on or off, that's it. And once you turn the music off, you have no choice but to listen to your playlist all the way from the beginning if you decide to turn it back on. The fire alone is great, and sometimes it's nice to have some music playing too. Overall I'd say for the price, it's still worth it. It would just be much greater with these modifications. Thanks.

  • 3 words: I love it!

It takes a lot to get me to relax wo the tv. I hesitated downloading until I found out that they updated it so you could listen to your own music. Now you're not confined to just Christmas time. I just downloaded some tunes from itunes and was listening with the fireplace. Awesome. I would like to be able to turn up the volume of the fireplace because sometimes the music makes it hard to hear the crackling sounds. Otherwise I am glad to bought the app. One dollar is a steal for the relaxation which is priceless.

  • Pretty Good

And to think I paid $10 for a fireplace video for my iPod Touch a few years that was made by GeekBrief. Granted they didn't just record a few seconds and loop it like this one. My only issue is that I can't see the top of the flames in the frame of my iPhone, seems to be cut off and there is no way to adjust it.

  • Does what it says

Sure there are a few things we'd like to see but this fireplace delivers exactly what it makes claim to....a fun visual fireplace.

To those that complain that the top of the fire gets cut off: take your pic, a tiny flame or a slightly covered, abundant one.

    This is a nice app.
