Best in class but UI missing some features
I've recently started getting in to sudoku variants, and this app offers a wonderful set of new challenges. Unfortunately, all the apps of this type that I have found have somewhat rudimentary user interfaces. I appreciate the work required to prepare these novel puzzles, but I hope that one of the developers could please add this feature: a "fix number, then pick cells" option for entering values. Solvers frequently fill in runs of the same digit, particularly near the end of a puzzle. I find the inverse "fix cell, then pick number" mode both slow and awkward enough to be distracting, yet it is the only one provided in every sudoku-variant app i've found. No doubt some players prefer this method; the ideal solution, IMHO, is the "hybrid" entry method provided in Jason Linhart's best-of-the-best classic sudoku app.
The other main UI element that's missing is an Undo stack: even a 1-step undo would help.
Despite these limitations, Cool Sudoku has one of the best UIs i've found among the sudoku-variant apps, and is the one I play most often. (Note to other users: there are *two* independent settings menus, one in-game and one in the puzzle-selector screen; I didn't notice that initially and missed useful features.) Awesome sudoku app
Easily the best sudoku / killer sudoku / kakuro app I've found. Very large selection of pre-set puzzles, with new ones daily. Two of the variants were new to me, and they're a lot of fun.
The UI has some unfortunate oversights -- for example, resetting a puzzle does't clear the possibles. And it would be nice to have some way of taking notes within the game; when working the highest difficulty puzzles, I sometimes need to grab a pad of aperture to work something out in order to figure out ow to proceed.

Best of all Sudoku Apps
I prefer this to the many Sudoku apps I have tried. By far the best variety-I especially love the jigsaw (or shape) sudokus and killer sudoku which is the same as sum sudoku. Tons of practice puzzles plus a daily for each type. Never a glitch or problem of any kind. I also want to add that there IS an option to erase all pencil marks, so you do not have to delete them one by one!Show lessGrace Poole
Inexplicably stopped working ...
Can't save a pseudonym even though it says it has saved it. I am forever "temp" along with many others it would seem!

Network Connection Failure when select puzzles
Why does the app requires network connection when retrieving the puzzles?
The older version never ask for network connection before when retrieving the puzzles. Now, with this version, some puzzles require to connect to WI-Fi network. It comes up with the error "Network Connection Failure, Please try later" with most puzzle.
Very disappointing as it means one cannot do the puzzle when travelling any more.Show less888skt
Only flaw is timer
Timer goes crazy, jumps 2 & 3 sec at a time ! I enjoy doing these puzzles in the morning with my coffee . Jump starts the brain for a good productive day .
