This Dictionary has almost too much info!!
I can’t imagine finding a more complete dictionary anywhere! This thing is amazing. I
don’t know how you can’t find the info you need in it. The reason I only gave it 4 stars is so much info can get confusing. It seems like they could
eliminate some of the things or condense things to make it easier to use for the average person. I

Great! Except one nagging thing
I really enjoy this ap. Growing up in a vocabulary-rich family, I find the review delightful.
However, if I choose to ignore a word it nags me until I respond (i.e. microbrewery hung around for over a week until I finally responded). Please let ignore items slide at the end of the day.

The best app
It’s a good app when tryna look for the meaning of words.
I use it for when I read books and I don’t know some words I can easily look it up, it is also a fast app

Where’s the thesaurus?
I downloaded this app for the thesaurus function but that apparently doesn’t exist in this app regardless of the name. Instead, it offers standard dictionary definitions and maybe one or two related words. Additionally, it doesn’t recognize a lot of relatively unchallenging words as being legitimate words. Good resource for definitions & expanding vocabulary
As a dictionary, I find it outstanding. Definitions extensive, thorough and readily understandable. Word of the Day informative. My only objection as reflected in 4 stars instead of 5 is due to my sometimes annoying, almost obsessive precision in word choices. It’s really “Words” or “Phrase” “of the Day”, not single “Word of the Day”. Not as catchy a title, but accurate. 😉Show lessmjuggler
Need one for American English also
This is an excellent resource but the translations are decidedly British. The translations are sometimes indicated as one or the other, but often the American counterpart is simply not given. This would have broader use if this were fixed.Pastora Juana
Very informative. Exactly what I needed.
This app is great. I like that the app also is current in updates & fixing any glitches that are an issue in a timely manner. A lot of developers write/design apps & once they release to the public only maintain them a short time because they move on to new apps & forget about ones they’ve previously introduced. With free apps Most update & fix issues for about a 6-8 months & then move on. Even if it’s a paid app you’re lucky if they review issues & fix glitches or update it for new IOS programs after a year, but this developer’s totally different.
I also like this app is concise, but informative. I love that it gives all natures of the words background, including original origins & uses to current adaptations. I write a lot of reports & don’t like using the same words over & over. I can look up a word on the dictionary side that I’m thinking of using & it’s not exactly the word I’m looking for or I decide I want the sentence syntax to have a different flow, there’s a thesaurus to help me choose the exact right word I’m wanting to include. That feature also saves me a headache🙂, instead of me trying to come up with different words, that have the same similar meaning from memory, I can just access the thesaurus & find Exactly what I’m looking for to save me time & frustration. Might be more enjoyable and elucidating to see various words and derivation & derivatives.

Advanced English Thesaurus
I just don't know what I was thinking, I use the free dictionary app. all the time, couldn't write without it. Every time I felt the need for a better, more appropriate word the dictionary wanted to sell me an app.; I just didn't think to look for a free version in the App Store.

Brilliant
Generally “ brilliant“! I have a hard-copy of “the thinking man’s Thesaurus” given to me by my sister-in-law and brother. I like it because it is tangible and squeezable -I still enjoy the tactile aspect i’ve booked reading. Still, this is my go to aid when on the computer... cheers. JDRMDRoctor II
