  • Works well

I like this app and it does what it says it will. Only change I can suggest is having the numbers on the keyboard layout together with the letters (across the top row like a real keyboard). That way you wouldn't have to switch to the number keyboard just to type one number then switch to the letter keyboard again to finish typing in a call sign to look up. The app "Hamlog" does this and it's a nice touch.

  • Wonderful !!!!

This is the greatest program for hams.
You not only find out the contacts name but, you can see where he lives.
The satellite view will even show you a photo of his home. Buy it !!!
  • Useless

You can save your 2 bucks and get the same information for free. I paid the 1.99 but I feel I paid for a license to trash this useless app.
  • Save your money !!!!

Usually dogpark software writes good stuff except this is garbage just put a bookmark for the callsign server or APRS.FI and you will save $1.99 I feel I was ripped off
  • Used to work, now crashes

For the last month or so this app crashes each time I use it. I'm not having trouble with any other apps, so I'm not sure what the problem is. When it works it's great!

  • A good start but needs more features to justify the cost

As the Pinball review says, the Hamcall website provides the basic lookup capability for free (not counting APRS). My test lookup via the WM7D location puts my position off by 3.3+ miles. That's not a big deal in the cosmic scale of things, but spot-on mapping is available via the AB2M.net site. I hope CallBook will evolve to store and display contacts. That would give it an edge. I appreciate this effort for what has to be a niche market! I'm happy for my small contribution toward further development.

  • Not impressed

This is just a well done interface to access other websites and is not worth USD 1.99 (compared to what other applications for the Iphone offer for the same price). The access to aprs.fi works as well via a link button on the homescreen. Call sign data come for free on the iPhone via Hamcall (ab2m.net/hamcall/iPhone).....Such small ham radio applications should be for free - it's a hobby.

  • Useful app

Fine app from Dog Park Software -- does just what it's supposed to, quickly and easily. I'd like to see a Favorites feature added so I can save the callsigns of people I've looked up. For me, that would dramatically increase the usefulness of this app, considering that about half my talk time is away from my Mac (and the outstanding MacLoggerDX!).

  • Great clean app

Great to see nice apps being developed for ham radio.
  • Nice program - Thanks

I had hoped someone would make this. Works well. Adding license class would be nice.

Any thoughts on adding a logging program to your iPhone work? Something that would interface with a desktop program to keep track of contacts made away from your main operating location ( ie the club house ) please give it some thought.
