Ring It Up
I looked at many of the available apps for POS and inventory control. I ended up buying two copies of Ring it up. I really like the scan feature that allows me to scan new inventory in and scan during the sale. This feature alone has saved me a great deal of time and allows me to see my inventory at a glance. I also like the billing via printer or email. One slight drawback is the documentation is not as good as it probably should be, but support is very good and response time to questions is very fast.Show lessforbroke
Good overall, needs a few improvements
Ive only upgraded to Basic because the free version does a poor job at allowing any real chance at testing it. So far after a month of using it alongside regular sales operations, i am happy with the results with what I need it for, although this may not be the same for everyone. I don't yet need to accept credit cards or carry a diverse product base with bar-code databases (which this app, in conjunction with partner apps, does) but because my business is growing I will be certainly looking at these features in the near future. A few ideas: I believe the products page needs to be more manageable, such as color coded tags and sections, and promotional or bundle pricing options that wouldn't be a pain to put together. A more cut and dry, maybe even customizable sales interface thats quick and easy to use at POS, then can switch to view all transactions in chronological order or filtered by product category, salesperson, individual product and such. Also the tabs along the bottom need to be able to stay repositioned instead of resetting every time the app is re-opened. It has potential, but.....
While I was able to enter some products in the free app, that was all I was able to do and even that was clunky and not very intuitive. It's entirely too easy to end up with multiple entries for the same item. The app will mark the dupes as "clone" and I did find a way to delete them, but would be nice to se a dummy edit before dupes were saved.
The description indicates that test invoices can be entered, however I found no way to accomplish that unless I purchased an upgrade.
I am reluctant to make the purchase without being able to actually test the functionality of the app.Show lessSussieQuessie
Very handy...some ideas...
I make custom jewelry-one of a kind items. I love the ability to add a picture to the product but I either have 1 or none on each produce listing. To avoid scrolling thru a long list of products - I'd like a view of only those that have any quantity available.
On the Products list - add a subtotal for each category on the price. Saves a step instead of going to reports. Finally - a great addition would be graphical monthly and annual reports.Show lessMI-Ogre
All Functions Do Not Work
I downloaded this app because it looked like it was perfect. Recording inventory, vendor information and sales invoices etc. However, after using the app, the product section doesn't allow the pricing information to show up once saved. You're also unable to assign the vendor to your products. The tax section doesn't work simply because the price information doesn't compute. If they could work on fixing the issues it would be a great app especially for those of us who are on the go and make sells over the phone.Show lessSsrus403
Very highly recommended
I've been using the pro version for a year and cannot imagine a better app for sales. It's quick and easy. I can use my contacts and send them an email receipt. Everyone is amazed at how well it works. Scanning is fun and easy.
You also get support that is prompt and personal.
I enthusiastically recommend this to anyone who makes sales of any kind.

Nice work
Love this app it does everything we need plus it's real nice to be able to send all the data to my parters at the end of the day they can input it into their iPad and instantly have all the days totals right in there hands. Easy To Migrate
Have been using this application for over a year now and just migrated my app to this new 5.0 and it's great!! I just wish I could give it 10 stars but iTunes doesn't get that high. Anyway the only thing that I have noticed is that everytime I send an e-mail of an order to a client it says "sent from my ipod'. Can you take that out? I have been manually erasing it but in the field it just takes time to do. I am using the 3rd generation Ipod touch. Thanks!!!Show lessmontcowboy
Used This app for close to a year and great for my business
I started using this app last summer at fairs and festivals. It is a simple, clean and complete solution to a small business that works on location. I now use it as a complete inventory management, POS and purchasing system. As a Point of Sale app my customers are impressed that a festival vendor can "Ring It Up" then swipe a card without the need for wires or power.
The developer, Todd always responds immediately to any issues. The app's price compared to the hundreds or thousands of dollars that retail POS solutions cost is a bargain and small one time overhead if you are running a business.
Congrats on your hard work. The new version is great. Migration instructions were clear and simple. Dropbox transferred my data from the iPad to the iPhone without a hitch. Plus as a bonus, a problem I had with the interface with Credit Card terminal on Friday went away with the update.
