Love this app
As a chess beginner, I find the ranked playing to be very engaging. I’m just good enough to not appreciate the almost random playing other apps put up at low levels, and not good enough to compete at levels just above. TChess has a much smoother power curve, which keeps things exciting.kaderan
Geezer relearns chess
In the Army in Alaska in the late 50s, I learned and played a ton of chess and got pretty good at it. Since then, however, life interfered with pleasure, and I have played little to none since. Retired now, I’d like to return to the game but am astonished at how much I have forgotten about it. After trying several apps, I have settled on this one as the pick of the litter. One can turn the clock on and off and adjust the computer’s skill level (I took it down to the bottom and am working my way back up). The one small difficulty I had was resolved overnight by Mr. Kerrigan, and I am greatly enjoying the game again.Show lessToklineman

I have found this App very useful to play and learn new strategies in chess. The app is very stable and has never crashed.

Amazing for people who play competitive chess.
First off, this game is amazing if you play chess competitively and take notation. You can analyze your games and find what the best moves were in each situation. One of my few complaints is that it just says which move is best and by how much, but not why.

Great Game, Slightly Confusing UI
I was a total chess novice, now I can hold my own with friends and family. Love this game! The user interface is less than ideal; half of the time I feel like I’m looking for things in the wrong place. I have all the chess apps and this one is the best. It provides the most flexibility and allows the import of masters games. Please keep updating it because it is my favorite Ipad app.chess 2100 player
